ACLS Fellowship

Award: $65,000, Deadline: September 28

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have held the Ph.D. for at least two years, and have not had a supported research leave for at least three years. Award is for postdoctoral research in all disciplines of the humanities and humanities-related social sciences. Applications must be submitted through the ACLS Online Fellowship Application system (OFA). OFA is accessible through the Fellowship and Grant Programs section of the web site.

Phi Delta Kappa Scholarship Grant for Prospective Educators

Award: $1,250, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a current high school senior or college undergraduate student looking to, or already majoring in education. Selection is based upon recommendations, written essay, academic standing, and leadership activities.

Jeannette Rankin Foundation Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a female student who is enrolled in, or accepted to, a regionally- or ACICS-accredited school. Applicant must be 35 years of age or older by March 1 and considered low income. Selection based upon applicant's goals, plan for reaching goals, challenges they have faced, and their financial situation.

Consortium Fellowship

Award: -, Deadline: November 15 (early deadline) ; January 5 (regular deadline)

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident of any race or ethnicity who is able to demonstrate a commitment to the Consortium's mission of helping to reduce the serious under-representation of African-Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans in both member schools' enrollments and the ranks of management. Applicant must hold a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or an equivalent degree from a foreign country.

General Scholarship for Continuing UM Students

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.4 GPA, be an enrolled UM student, and submit an essay, resume of activities, letter of recommendation, and transcript.

College Peas Standout Student Scholarship

Award: $400, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be a student who has something special that makes them different from their peers (such as a special activity). Sponsor recommends a Non-Teenager Activity (NTA), which is an activity that teenagers don't typically do.

Louie Family Foundation Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a current high school senior in good standing who anticipates enrolling at a United States accredited college/university or vocational program this fall as a freshman. Minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum combined SAT score of 1900 (composite ACT score of 27) required.

VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 30; November 15

Applicant must be U.S. citizen who is a retired, honorably discharged, active duty, or member of the National Guard or Reserve. Must have completed training and separated with or currently hold a military rank of E-5 or below. Participation in or acceptance in a VA-approved program and financial need must be demonstrated.

Sheet Metal Workers International Association Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be the child of an active sheet metal worker. SAT Reasoning or ACT scores, transcripts, essay, and letter of recommendation are required to be submitted.

Ned McWherter Scholars

Award: $6,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a Tennessee resident entering as a freshman student at an eligible Tennessee post-secondary institution as a full-time student. Applicant must have a minimum composite ACT score of 29 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1280) on a national test date with a minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA.Extra credit for honors or advanced placement courses and leadership in extracurricular activities. Award is highly competitive.

Katherine Anne Porter Prize for Fiction

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must submit a short fiction piece of no more than 7,500 words.

Academic Award

Award: $11,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, rank in the top third of class and have a minimum combined SAT score of 1650 (ACT score of 23).

UGA Foundation Fellowship

Applicant must rank in the top 5% of class and have a minimum combined SAT score of 1400 (composite ACT score of 31). Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular activities, leadership and community service, essay, personal statement, interview, and three letters of recommendation. Applicant must have a 3.7 GPA.

Boren Scholarships

Award: $20,000, Deadline: Early February

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen enrolled as an undergraduate student in a U.S. post-secondary institution, and planning to study abroad in an eligible world region (Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East).

Bernard Ramsey Honors Scholarship

Award: $4,600, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must rank in the top 5% of high school class and have a minimum combined SAT score of 1400 (composite ACT score of 31). Award is granted to Foundation Fellowship finalists who do not receive the fellowship. Applicant must have 3.7 GPA.

The McKelvey Foundation Entrepreneurial Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: January 25

Applicant must be a graduating senior of a United States high school or home-school program who is planning to attend a four-year college. Applicant must own and operate a business for at least one year, have at least one paid employee (not including themselves), and have sales revenue.

'Road' Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: August 31; November 30; March 31

Applicant must be a student or youth under the age of 25 who is participating in some form of student/youth group travel, including but not limited to class field trips, youth group or choir trips, and study abroad programs. Applicant must demonstrate circumstances that prohibit them from participating in the travel program due to financial need. Nomination by applicant's teacher, school administrator, group leader, or other adult familiar with the student and scheduled trip required.

Illinois AMVETS Sad Sacks Nursing Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an Illinois high school senior who has been accepted into a pre-approved nursing program or may already be a student in an approved School of Nursing in the State of Illinois. Applicant must be able to prove satisfactory in their academic record, character, interest and activity record, and financial need. Priority will be given to the dependent of a deceased or disabled veteran.

Liberty University Academic Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time residential student.

Texas American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be sponsored by a local American Legion Auxiliary unit. Selection is based upon character, Americanism, leadership, financial need, and scholarship.

State Nursing Scholarship

Award: $4,500, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be a Maryland resident, have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, and enroll for at least six credits in a nursing program at a Maryland school.

Honors College Scholarship

Selection is based upon academic and extracurricular experiences.

FNSNA Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled at a state-approved school of nursing or pre-nursing. Graduate applicant must be pursuing his or her first nursing degree. Selection is based upon academic achievement, financial need, and involvement in student nursing organizations and community service related to health care.

Marshall Scholarship

Award: $24,000, Deadline: October 2

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential. Applicant must also hold a first degree from an accredited U.S. four-year college or university with at least a 3.7 GPA.

Georgia Southern Foundation Scholars

Applicant must be accepted as a member of the University Fellows Experience. Admission to the University Fellows Experience requires a minimum composite ACT score of 32 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1400) and a minimum 3.8 high school GPA. Selection based upon academic record, and extracurricular, service, and leadership achievements.

Educators for Maine Forgivable Loan

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has been accepted into a post-secondary degree program. Applicant must be pursuing initial certification as a teacher, including speech pathology or child care provider qualifications.
