Executive Women International Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be attending a school located within the boundaries of a participating U.S. chapter. Selection is based upon academic achievement, leadership, and work experience.

Freshmen Scholars Award

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a full-time freshman student entering this fall semester with a minimum 3.3 GPA. Selection will be based upon applicant's academic record, GPA, SAT Reasoning/ACT scores, TOEFL scores (for international students), essay, and a history of participation and leadership in extracurricular activities and community service. NCAA Division III regulations prohibit the consideration of high school athletic ability, athletic participation, athletic leadership or athletic performance in awarding scholarships.

Art Scholarship for Mature Women

Award: $1,000, Deadline: October 15

Applicant must be a female U.S. citizen who is at least age 35 and must submit description of background, proposal for use of money, and three prints (4x6 or larger) of work in any medium: oil, water color, original works on paper, sculpture, or photography. Photographs should be submited as 4x6 or larger prints.

Dow Jones Newspaper Fund Editing Internship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be an U.S. citizen and work the full summer at the copy desk of a daily newspaper, online newspaper, or real-time financial news service (identified by DJNF). Recipient must attend a one to two week training seminar before beginning the internship.

Merit Awards Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 2

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and a combined SAT score of 1200 on the critical reading and math sections (ACT composite score of 26 or higher).

NSA Stokes Educational Scholarship Program

Award: $30,000, Deadline: October 31

Applicant be a U.S. citizen. Applicant must have a minimum combined SAT score of 1600 (composite ACT score of 25), a minimum 3.0 GPA, one letter of recommendation, transcript, leadership abilities, and have participated in extracurricular activities.

AAF Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a resident of Armstrong, Briscoe, Carson, Castro, Collingsworth, Childress, Dallam, Deaf Smith, Donley, Gray, Hall, Hansford, Hartley, Hemphill, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Moore, Ochiltree, Oldham, Parmer, Potter, Randall, Roberts, Sherman, Swisher, or Wheeler county in the northernmost Texas Panhandle.

Mary Roberts Rinehart Award

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 22

Applicant must be nominated by an established writer, agent, editor, or faculty member. Applicant must be an unpublished writer and must submit a manuscript of a previously unpublished work of fiction, poetry, biography, autobiography, or history with a strong narrative quality.

OCA-UPS Gold Mountain Scholarship

Applicant must be a United States citizen of Asian Pacific descent who has a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and is the first person in their immediate family to attend college; thus entering their first year of school this upcoming fall. Financial need is required.

OCA - AXA Achievement Award

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a permanent resident or U.S. citizen and with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and is entering their first year of college for the upcoming fall semester. Awards based on academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to community service.

OCA - Verizon Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is entering their first year of college in the upcoming fall with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need is required.

Scarlett Family Foundation Scholarship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicant must be a high school senior or college freshman, sophomore, or junior who will graduate or have graduated from high school in Middle Tennessee and will be enrolling in a four-year not-for-profit college or university. Applicant must be a business major or STEM major and be able to demonstrate financial need. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

Dollars for Scholars

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15 (fall); September 15 (spring)

Applicant must be a new non-resident undergraduate, new resident graduate, and new non-resident undergraduate students. Selection based upon exceptional merit, date of unconditional admit, and date of scholarship application.

Opportunity Grant

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have completed the application for admission and the FAFSA by March 1. Selection based upon financial need.

Scholarship for Children of Disabled, Deceased, Combat and POW/MIA Veterans

Award: $4,500, Deadline: Varies

Applicant must be the child of a deceased, disabled, or combat veteran or veteran listed as a POW/MIA. The veteran must have been a legal resident of North Carolina at the time of entry into service, or the child must have been born in North Carolina and resided there continuously since birth. Applicant must be attending a school in North Carolina.

PEO International Peace Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicant must be a non-U.S. or Canadian citizen who is a woman working full-time towards a graduate degree in the college or university of her choice in the U.S. or Canada. Upon completion of her degree program, she must return within 60 days to her own country or to a non-U.S. or Canadian country to pursue her professional career. Applicant must apply online.

Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship in Humanistic Studies

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, must plan to enter a Ph.D. program in the humanities, plan a career in college teaching, and present evidence of outstanding academic promise. Applicant must take the GRE test by December 1.

Kansas Ethnic Minority Scholarship

Applicant must be an ethnic minority who is a Kansas resident, attending an eligible Kansas school. Selection is based upon academic performance, ethnic category, and financial need.

ADAF Scholarship

Selection is based upon financial need, academic standing, and professional potential. Applicant must be member of ADA.

Charlotte W. Newcombe Dissertation Fellowship

Award: $25,000, Deadline: November 12

Applicants must have completed all pre-dissertation requirements. The dissertation can be in any field and must deal with the study of ethical or religious values in some area of human endeavor. Applicants working on D. Min., law, and other professional degrees are not eligible.

Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be an initiated member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Selection is based upon academic abilities, campus, community, and fraternity activities, and letters of reference.

Leadership Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate extensive leadership experience both in and out of the classroom. Application, resume of honors and activities, and two letters of recommendation required.

Student Loan Program for Health, Science, & Mathematics

National Orchestral Institute Scholarship

Applicant must be a talented musician age 18 to 28 on the threshold of a professional career. Awards are for participation in a three-week orchestral training program held each June.

Delaware National Guard State Tuition Assistance Program

Applicant must be in a degree-seeking program and must agree to serve in either the Delaware Army or Air National Guard for at least six years.

Nebraska National Guard State Tuition Program

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident, must have been a resident of Virginia for at least one year prior to the deadline, must be enrolled full time at an accredited college, university, or school of the arts, and must submit 10 slides of artwork for art, three films for film/video, or three research papers for art history.

Harry S. Truman Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national, rank in top quarter of class, have outstanding leadership potential and communication skills, and be planning to pursue graduate school study to prepare for a career in government or public service. Recipient receives up to $30,000 for graduate studies.

Pro Deo and Pro Patria Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of the Knights of Columbus, Columbian Squires or the child of a member of the Knights of Columbus and must be attending a Catholic college. Selection is based upon academic excellence. Transcripts, test scores, autobiography, and recommendation required.
