Optics and Photonics Education Scholarship

Award: $11,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a high school, pre-university, secondary school, undergraduate, or graduate student who is or will be studying optics, photonics, or a related field. Selection based upon prospect for long-term contribution that the application will make to the field of optics, photonics, or related field.

 

Edwards Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a permanent home address in the city of Boston proper (Allston, Boston, Brighton, Charlestown, Dorchester, East Boston, Forest Hills, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Readville, Roslindale, Roxbury, South Boston, West Roxbury) and be under age 25. Applicant may attend any accreditted college or university, but their permanent address must remain in Boston. Selection is based upon financial need, scholastic ability, and character. Preference is given to undergraduate applicants.

 

Harry J. and Lucille B. Brown Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a full-time student, have a minimum 3.3 GPA, and have been a resident of Kent County, Mich. for at least three years. Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular activities, personal statement, and financial need.

 

Dean's Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must rank in the top 15% of graduating class and have a minimum composite ACT score of 25 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1140).

 

Academic Scholarship

AGC Education and Research Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a college sophomore or junior enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time, four- or five-year ABET or ACCE-accredited construction management, or construction-related engineering program. Application, evaluation forms, and transcript are required.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $16,000, Deadline: December 10

Applicant must be a high school senior who has a minimum 3.5 GPA and a combined SAT score of 1020 or higher (ACT score of 22 or higher). Recipient must participate in the Presidential Scholarship Competition.

 

Italian Catholic Federation Scholarship

Award: $400, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be Roman Catholic, have a minimum 3.2 GPA, and be a resident of California, Nevada, Arizona, or an Illinois city where branches of the Federation are established. Applicant must be wholly or partially of Italian ancestry or be the child or grandchild of an ICF member. If the applicant is a child or grandchild of an ICF member, they do not have to live where Branches of the Federation are established. Letters of recommendation, financial need, and participation in church and community activities required.

 

Alumni Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 2.8 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 23.

 

Trustee Leadership Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA, have a minimum composite ACT score of 18, and have been a senior class president, local or state Junior Miss winner, yearbook editor, or newspaper editor.

 

Friends of MCAD Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be an admitted student entering in the fall semester. Portfolio is required. Financial need is not considered.

 

Visual Scholar

University Academic Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum "B" grade average, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and demonstrate financial need.

 

John F. Kennedy University Scholarship

Bellarmine Scholars

Applicant must have a minimum composite ACT score of 29 (SAT composite score of 1300) and a minimum 3.4 GPA. Applicant must submit required Bellarmine Scholars essay. Finalists are chosen and must participate in the Bellarmine Scholars weekend competition.

 

Chancellor's Scholarship

Selection is based upon academic ability and achievement and participation in the university honors program.

 

Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Fellowship

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is enrolled full-time in an APA-accredited doctoral academic program. Applicant must be a member of an ethnic minority group (including but not limited to African American, Alaskan Native, American Indian, Asian American, Hispanic, or Pacific Islander) and/or demonstrate a commitment to a career in psychology related to ethnic minority populations.

 

Alexander Scholarship Program

Award: $1,500, Deadline: May; October

Selection is based on YMCA profession career goal and means/method of repayment. Applicant must have good grades and agree to YMCA employment after degree completion. Recommendation is required from a YMCA director or Y's Men Club.

 

Graduate Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Feb 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must submit a statement of research interests and evidence of financial need, dental hygiene licensure, and acceptance or enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited U.S. graduate program.

 

Leadership Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Selection is based on test scores and leadership potential.

 

Cleveland Institute of Art Grant

Applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA or rank in the top quarter of high school class and exhibit significant leadership qualities. Applicant must show extra-curricular activities and strong academics. Interview is required.

 

Arkansas Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 24 (combined SAT I score of 1110). Extracurricular activities, leadership activities, and letter of application are considered

 

Tom Taylor Memorial Scholarship

Luckyday Outstanding Citizenship Award

Applicant must have recommendation letters, essay, and financial need. Applicants must be involved in community service, student leadership activities and civic engagement.

 

Prize in Ethics Essay Contest

Applicant must be a full-time junior or senior at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.

 

Anne Ford and Allegra Ford Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, enrolled as a senior in high school, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and the intention of pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree. Financial need must be demonstrated; current documentation of an identified learning disability also required. The ideal candidate is a high school senior who has faced the challenges of having a learning disability; is committed to completing a college degree and setting career goals; has demonstrated perseverance; embraces new opportunities; has a well-rounded perspective shaped by experiences in school, in the community, and with family and friends; understands how their learning disability affects his/her life and recognizes the importance of self-advocacy; believes in contributing to society in ways that increase the opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities; and will feel comfortable serving as a role model and spokesperson for others who struggle with learning disabilities.

 

Alisa Flatow Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be looking to pursue traditional Jewish studies at yeshivot or seminaries full-time in the State of Israel.
