Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award

Award: $18,000, Deadline: None

Grants are intended for art students and artists in the early or developmental stage of their career. Applicants must work in a figurative or representational style of painting, drawing, sculpture, or printmaking and be committed to making the practice of their art a lifetime career. Grants are intended to assist applicants in the study or practice of their art, and the costs associated therewith, such as tuition, studio rental, model fees, travel, and living expenses. Eligible courses of study or training include undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate studies and diploma programs from accredited institutions, recognized residencies, apprenticeships/internships, and studio training. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of their application. Grants are available to students and artists around the world.

 

North American Indian Scholarship

Award: $650, Deadline: July 1

 

California Masonic Foundation Scholarship

Award: $11,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a California resident for at least one year, demonstrate financial need, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Washington State PTA Financial Grant Program

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a graduate of a Washington state public high school. Selection based on academic performance, community involvement, and financial need.

 

Talent Scholarship

Selection based upon talent.

 

Minnesota Indian Scholarship

Award: $3,254, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be a Minnesota resident attending an in-state college. Applicant must have at least one quarter American Indian ancestry. Financial need must be demonstrated by qualifying for either Federal Pell Grant or Minnesota State Grant.

Abe and Annie Seibel Foundation Loan

Applicant must be a Texas resident, a graduate of a Texas high school, and a student enrolled full-time at an accredited Texas college or university with the intention of completing requirements toward a first bachelor's degree. Freshmen applicants must rank in the top 10% of their high school graduation class or have a minimum of 1100 SAT or 23 ACT score. College level students are reviewed on their grades earned through the fall semester each year. Renewable up to four years with a required minimum GPA of 3.0 overall. Co-signer is required.

 

Kentucky State University Scholarship

Thurgood Marshall College Fund Scholarships

Applicant must be attending or planning to attend a TMCF member school and be able to demonstrate financial need and leadership ability. Minimum 3.0 GPA and recommendation by a school faculty or staff member are required.

 

Palmetto Fellows Scholarship

Early award applicant must be a high school senior who is a resident of South Carolina and who meets one of the two following sets of academic requirements: score a minimum SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 27) by the November test administration, earn a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA on the South Carolina Uniform Grading Policy (SC UGP) at the end of the junior year, and rank in the top six percent of their graduating class at the end of their sophomore or junior year or score a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1400 (composite ACT score of 32) by the November test administration and earn a minimum 4.0 cumulative GPA on the SC UGP at the end of their junior year. Final award applicant must be a high school senior who is a resident of South Carolina and who meets one of the following sets of academic requirements: score a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 27) by the June national test administration of the senior year, earn a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA on the SC UGP at the end of the senior year, and rank in the top six percent of the class at the end of the sophomore, junior, or senior year or score a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1400 (composite ACT score of 32) by the June national test administration and earn a minimum 4.0 cumulative GPA on the SC UGP at the end of their senior year. Applicant must not owe a refund or repayment on any State or Federal financial aid and not be in default on a Federal student loan; must have never been convicted of any felonies and have not been convicted of any second or subsequent alcohol/drug-related misdemeanor offenses within the past academic year.

 

Indiana Minority Teacher Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a black or Hispanic Indiana resident with a minimum 2.0 GPA who agrees to teach in Indiana upon certification. Award may be used at Indiana schools only.

 

Oregon Community Credit Union Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 15 (freshmen); February 1 (transfer)

Minimum 3.5 GPA required of freshman applicants,(minimum 3.0 GPA required of upper-class applicants). Selection is based on financial need and essay.

 

Entering Montana Resident Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an entering freshman with a minimum 3.4 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 25 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1700). Transfer applicants must have a minimum 3.4 GPA and 12 earned college credits. ACT/SAT test scores are not applicable for transfer students. Essay, resume of activities, letter of recommendation, and transcript are required to be submitted.

 

Leader Scholarship

Award: $11,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1050 (composite ACT score of 22).

 

Trustee Scholarship

Award: $18,000, Deadline: March 15

Selection based upon academic merit and artistic talent.

 

Academic Grant and Scholarship

Boettcher Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must have resided in Colorado during their junior and senior year of high school and be attending an institution in Colorado. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, rank in the top 5% of class, and have a minimum combined SAT score of 1200 (Critical Reading and Math only) or a composite ACT score of 27.

 

Hutton Honors College Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must rank in the upper 10 percent of their graduating class, have a minimum combined SAT score of 1300 and/or a composite ACT score of 30, in addition to being admitted to the university by December 1 of their high school senior year. Selection for scholarship is based upon standardized test scores, high school academic performance, quality of writing in the essays on the application, letters of recommendation, and participation in extracurricular activities and work experience.

 

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a permanent resident of a New England state, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, be enrolled in a demanding course of study, demonstrate skilled writing ability, and rank in the top 20% of their graduating high school class. Selection is based on community service, school and work activities, and aspirations and goals with integrity, resolution, self-discipline and judgment.

 

National Peace Essay Contest

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must submit essay of less than 1,500 words. Individual applications are accepted when applicant works with a coordinator who will review essay prior to submission.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $14,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.8 GPA, rank in the top 20th percentile of their class, and have a minimum combined SAT score of 1210 (composite ACT score of 27).

 

Jeannette Rankin Foundation Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a female student who is enrolled in, or accepted to, a regionally- or ACICS-accredited school. Applicant must be 35 years of age or older by March 1 and considered low income. Selection based upon applicant's goals, plan for reaching goals, challenges they have faced, and their financial situation.

 

General Scholarship for Continuing UM Students

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.4 GPA, be an enrolled UM student, and submit an essay, resume of activities, letter of recommendation, and transcript.

 

College Peas Standout Student Scholarship

Award: $400, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be a student who has something special that makes them different from their peers (such as a special activity). Sponsor recommends a Non-Teenager Activity (NTA), which is an activity that teenagers don't typically do.

 

Sheet Metal Workers International Association Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be the child of an active sheet metal worker. SAT Reasoning or ACT scores, transcripts, essay, and letter of recommendation are required to be submitted.

 

Park Scholarship

Ned McWherter Scholars

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a Tennessee resident entering as a freshman student at an eligible Tennessee post-secondary institution as a full-time student. Applicant must have a minimum composite ACT score of 29 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1280) on a national test date with a minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA.Extra credit for honors or advanced placement courses and leadership in extracurricular activities. Award is highly competitive.
