San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Foundation Scholarships

Applicants must be high school students who participate in the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo as part of a 4-H, FFA or FHA program. Students must plan to attend an accredited Texas university, college or technical school. Selection is based on both work inside and outside the classroom.

Youth Education Summit

Students must be a high school sophomore or junior and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Membership in the NRA is not required. Most applicants have strong interests in shooting sports, American history, government or the military. Students from Alaska, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia must attend the state Y.E.S. program before being considered for the national summit.

Signal Grace Scholarship Essay Contest

Award: $1,000, Deadline: August 10

Applicants must be high school and college students who are U.S. citizens and attending a U.S. institution, except for students residing in or attending school in Rhode Island. Applicants must read the memoir "Signal Grace" and submit a 500- to 1,000-word essay in response to one of the provided questions. The winner is selected based solely on the merits of the submitted essay.
