Applicant must be officially enrolled in college and have at least one full academic year remaining or be a fully enrolled college sophomore or higher. Applicant must be a journalism student from the Bay Area in California.
Award: $500, Deadline: March 19
Applicant must be a high school student who has relocated at least 50 miles during their high school career and is currently in high school in the San Francisco Bay Area. Application, essay, SAT scores, and extra-curricular activities are required.
Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 21
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident from the San Francisco Bay Area who is an incoming freshman or current, full-time undergraduate from the San Francisco Bay Area at an accredited four-year college or university. Applicant must be at least 50% Filipino. Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, major in journalism, and additional writing sample required.
