Margaret Jerome Sampson Scholarship

Applicants must be Phi Upsilon Omicron (Phi U) members. They must be full-time students who are enrolled in a family and consumer sciences degree program at the baccalaureate level. Preference will be given to applicants who are majoring in food and nutrition or dietetics. Selection is based on academic merit, participation in Phi U and stated career goals.

Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who are age 23 or younger. They must be the children or grandchildren of Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents' Association (MGCSA) Class AA, A, D, C, SM, associate or affiliate members. They must be enrolled or plan to enroll full-time at an accredited two- or four-year undergraduate institution. Selection is based on academic merit, extracurricular activities, awards received and stated career goals.

 

Montana Cattlewomen Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicants must be from Montana and currently enrolled as a sophomore or higher in an accredited university or college in Montana. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or more and demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Selection is based on demonstrated need and student's potential to benefit the livestock industry. Preference is given to students from an agriculture background and/or members or children of members of Montana CattleWomen.

Applicants must be rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors. They must be majoring in a subject that emphasizes dairy (such as agriculture education, business, communications, economics, food science, journalism, marketing or public relations). Applicants must plan to pursue a career in the dairy industry. Selection is based on stated career goals, academic excellence, dairy-related coursework completed, leadership and integrity.

 

NPCA Educational Foundation Scholarships

Applicants must be high school seniors or undergraduate students who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in a program of study that is related to the building, construction or precast concrete industries. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs/New York State Showpeople's Association Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Second Friday in April

Applicants must be New York state residents or must attend school in the state of New York and must be high school seniors or current undergraduate students. They can be enrolled in or planning to enroll in any degree program but additional consideration may be given to those pursuing degrees in agriculture, fair management or the outdoor amusement business. They must be attending or planning to attend an accredited postsecondary institution and must be active in local fairs. Selection is based on fair participation, leadership, citizenship and essay.

 

Ohio Section Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 2

Applicants must be full-time students who are attending an ABET-accredited college or university located in the state of Ohio. They must be enrolled in a civil engineering or other transportation-related degree program and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Selection is based on academic achievement, stated career goals and extracurricular activities.

Applicants must be Phi Theta Kappa members who are in good standing, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have completed 50 or more semester credits over the past five years. They must be enrolled at an accredited community college through March of the application year, have plans to transfer to a four-year postsecondary institution in the fall and have plans to pursue a bachelor's degree on a full-time basis. Applicants cannot have a criminal record. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

They must be currently enrolled in a physician assistant program and have leadership experience in the Latino community or be interested in Latino health concerns. Arizona State University - Math, Science and Special Education Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program

The Math, Science and Special Education Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program (MSSE) is a student-centered, need-based forgivable loan designed to financially support and to encourage Arizona resident junior or senior college students to enter into the teaching profession in a public school in Arizona. To be eligible an applicant must be a permanent legal resident of Arizona; be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen; have applied for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); be enrolled at least half-time as an undergraduate; and must be a junior or senior with the intent to attain licensure as a teacher in math, science, special education in a public school in Arizona or attain licensure as a teacher in elementary education in a public school that are experiencing a shortage of teachers. Grants are for up to $7,000 per year.

 

Thomara Latimer Cancer Foundation Scholarship

Applicants must be African-American students between the ages of 17 and 30, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be Michigan residents who are enrolled at or have been accepted to an accredited postsecondary institution. They must be studying or planning to study allied health, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assisting or a related subject. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

University of Arizona - Math, Science and Special Education Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program

The Math, Science and Special Education Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program (MSSE) is a student-centered, need-based forgivable loan designed to financially support and to encourage Arizona resident junior or senior college students to enter into the teaching profession in a public school in Arizona.
