Joseph and Virginia Altschuller Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time entering freshmen in any area of study with a minimum 2.75 high school GPA. First preference will be given to graduates of Woodward High School. Second Preference will be given to graduates of schools in Lucas County, Ohio. Scholarship is based upon need and merit. FAFSA is required.

 

William F. Rohr Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be an entering freshman student who is a Woodward High School graduate majoring in engineering. Selection is based upon financial need and merit.

 

Ohio Newspapers Foundation Douthit Award

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a graduate from a high school in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Huron, Erie, Wood, Geauga, Sandusky, Ottawa, or Lucas Counties who is enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior at an Ohio college or university. Applicant must be majoring in a field relevant to the newspaper industry, particularly journalism, advertising, marketing, or a communications degree program. Minimum 3.0 GPA and college transcript required.

 

Robert F. Cavalear Scholarship

Applicant must be an entering freshman who is an inner-city student from Toledo, OH. Financial need, good citizenship through extra-curricular activities, and full-time enrollment each semester must be demonstrated. FAFSA (due by April 1) and Pell eligibility are required.

 

Charms, Inc. Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time sophomore student who is African-American, is a local resident of Toledo, and graduated high school within the Toledo city limits. Selection is based upon financial need, academic achievement, evidence of extra-curricular activities, and educational and professional commitment. FAFSA (due by April 1) and Pell eligibility are required.

 

Charles Feilbach Scholarship

Applicant must be an undergraduate student with a disability who was a high school graduate of Glendale-Feilback School.
