Applicant must rank in the top quarter of class and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Dante Foundation Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: September 15

Applicant must have a minimum "85" average and demonstrate financial need.

Charles O. Schmidt Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Helen Albrecht Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: September 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Homemakers Council of Nassau County, Inc. Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a homemaker who has returned to school.

HSF/Citi Fellow Scholarship Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: July 31

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and be a current sophomore enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance at a four-year accredited college or university in the United States; selected recipient must be enrolled as a junior during the following academic year. Program will be open as of fall 2009.

HSF/Nissan Community College Transfer Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must be currently enrolled at a community college with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and have plans to transfer and enroll as a full-time student pursuing a degree in business, engineering, communications, or media arts at a four-year accredited institution. FAFSA is required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

3 Point Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a New York/Tri-State or Tulsa area graduating high school student who plans to enroll full-time at a two- or four-year accredited institution during the upcoming academic year. Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, and demonstration of commitment to community service required.

Astoria Federal Savings Endowed Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be an undergradaute student at Hofstra University who resides in Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau or Suffolk County, NY and has dmeonstrated acadmeic achievement and financial need.
