Original script of a sole author or of exactly two collaborative authors is required. Entries must have been written originally in English. Adaptations and translated scripts are not eligible.

 

Oregon State University Scholars Program

Award: $6,000, Deadline: February 1

Selection is based upon academics, leadership, diversity involvement, and financial need.

 

Glenn Terrell Presidential Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 31

Selection is based upon academic excellence as measured by GPA, standardized test scores, and other indicators of scholarly achievement. Financial need is not considered.

 

Academic Achievement and Diversity Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Financial need, parents' educational level considered, community involvement and service along with scholastic excellence.

 

Short Short Story Competition

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must write a piece of fiction in 1,500 words or less.

 

MG James Ursano Scholarship Program

Award: $4,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be the unmarried child of a career soldier on active duty, retired or deceased while on active duty, or after retirement. Selection is based upon financial need, academic achievements, and individual accomplishments. Recipient must enroll as a full-time student at an accredited institution.

 

FEEA Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 28

Applicant must have been a civilian federal employee for at least three years or be the legal dependent of one. Selection is based upon merit.

 

Higher Education Grant

Award: $1,600, Deadline: October 1

Applicant must have CDIB, Tribal Membership cards, and be able to show Choctaw descent. Applicant must be working toward a degree and demonstrate financial need.

 

Choctaw Nation Higher Education Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: October 1 (fall); March 1 (spring)

Applicant must be of Choctaw descent and be able to show proof with CDIB and Tribal Member cards. Applicant must be attending a college or university working toward a minimum of an associates degree.

 

Walmart Associate Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be enrolling in a United States accredited institution of post-secondary education who is employed a minimum of six months by the application deadline.

 

Academic Promise Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a high school senior, a Rhode Island resident, a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen, and be able to demonstrate academic merit and financial need. Must file the FAFSA and take either the SAT or ACT test in order to apply.

 

Larry Temple Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: December 1

Preference is given to an applicant majoring in liberal arts, fine arts, or social work, and to Texas residents.

 

General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 18

Applicants must be the dependent sons and daughters of Air Force members, spouses of active duty members or surviving spouses of Air Force members who died while on active duty or in retired status. They must also be high school seniors or college students enrolled or accepted as full-time undergraduates for the following school year and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.

 

Distinguished Scholar Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicants are nominated by their high schools during junior year (with achievement of unweighted 3.7 academic FIPA or higher). Talent in the arts (dance, drama, visual arts, vocal & instrumental music) or by being named a finalist by the National Merit Corporation.

 

Full Circle Scholarship Program

Award: $15,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicants must be an enrolled member of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe, or have a parent or grandparent who is an enrolled tribal member. Full-time enrollment at an accredited tribal, public or private (non-profit) college or university is also required.

 

Continuing Student Academic Scholarships

Award: $6,000, Deadline: January 25

Applicants should contact their academic department for scholarship information.

 

Merit Award Scholarship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: None

Applicant is automatically considered for this award upon applying to the university.

 

Cost of Education Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time student. Award is automatic upon admission to the college.

 

General Scholarship

Award: $2,700, Deadline: January 15

Selection is based upon academic performance, SAT I or ACT scores (freshmen only), extracurricular involvement, faculty recommendations (junior, senior, and graduate students), and writing ability and creativity, as demonstrated in statement of career aspirations and scholarship essay.

 

Boy Scouts of America Hall/McElwain Merit Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be an Eagle Scout and a graduating high school senior or an undergraduate college student. The scholarships are not available to students attending any of the U.S. military academies.

 

University of British Columbia Bursary

Award: $13,500, Deadline: June 30 (affiliation bursary); October 1 (open bursary)

Selection is based upon financial need. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Post-Secondary Child Care Grant

Award: $2,600, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be pursuing a non-sectarian program, meet state residency requirements, be in the first four years of a post-secondary education at a Minnesota private or public degree-granting institution or private non-profit vocational school (enrolled at least part-time), and must not be in a default on a student loan. MFIP cannot be received, eligible income guidelines must be met, and applicant must have a child 12 years or younger (or 14 or younger if disabled).

 

Texas Excellence Award

Award: $7,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must rank in top 5% of their secondary class.

 

President's Endowed Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: December

Applicant must have scored a minimum 1300 on the SAT (critical reading and math, with at least 600 in each), a 30 on the ACT (English and math, with a minimum 27 in each).

 

Lechner and McFadden Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December

Applicant must have scored a minimum 1300 on the SAT (critical reading and math, with a minimum score of 600 in each) or minimum ACT score of 30 (English and math, with a minimum 27 in each).

 

Chancellor's Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have high academic test scores and high school GPA. National Merit finalists or semifinalists, National Achievement finalists or semifinalists are also considered. Applicant must not have enrolled in any other postsecondary institution the fall or spring semester following high school graduation. All new freshman applicants will be considered for the award.

 

University Scholarship

Applicants must be in top 5%-10% of entering freshman applicant pool.

 

Trine University Merit Scholarship/Grant

Award: $31,600, Deadline: Rolling

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and minimum SAT Reasoning score of 990 (ACT score of 21).

 

University of Arkansas Leadership Scholarship
