Applicant must submit their top five ideas on how students can use social media to enhance the learning process. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

All applicants must be enrolled full time, hold a minimum 3.5 GPA, and submit a 1,000-word essay on one of the following topics: Ways to improve the quality of life of our canine companions or what to do when you're dog is lost. One scholarship may be given to a student who is working full-time and attending part-time. Selection based upon prospect for long-term contribution that the application will make to the field of optics, photonics, or related field.

Applicant may attend any accreditted college or university, but their permanent address must remain in Boston. Selection is based upon financial need, scholastic ability, and character.
