IFSA Foundation Scholarship Award

Award: -, Deadline: April 30

Applicants must be the children of International Flight Services Association (IFSA) members who are enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited college or university. They must be attending or planning to attend school on an at least part-time basis and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a four-point scale. Selection is based on academic achievement and the applicant's interest in pursuing higher education.

 

OBTA Dr. Mearl R. Guthrie Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicants must be undergraduate juniors, undergraduate seniors or graduate students who are enrolled at an Ohio college or university and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. They must be full-time students who are majoring in business education. They must have plans to pursue careers as business education teachers. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Ohio Classical Conference Scholarship for Prospective Latin Teachers

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicants must be undergraduate students who are residents of Ohio or who are enrolled at an accredited Ohio postsecondary institution, or can be graduates of Ohio high schools pursuing study at accredited colleges or universities elsewhere in the U.S. They must have sophomore standing or above and be taking courses that provide preparation for a career as a K-12 Latin teacher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Ascend Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Open

Applicants must be active student members of Ascend. They must be undergraduate freshmen, sophomores or juniors who are studying accounting at an accredited U.S. college or university. They must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Students who have worked for a Big 4 accounting firm are ineligible. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Richard A. Brown Memorial Scholarship for Students

Award: $1,000, Deadline: October 14

Applicants must be full-time undergraduates who are attending an accredited college or university and must be preparing for a career in education. They must have completed 24 credits or more of their degree program and must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher on a four-point scale. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Rollie Hopgood Future Teachers Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 5

Applicants must be planning to become teachers. They must be affiliated with AFT Michigan through a parent or other member. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Wisconsin Women in Government Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicants must be female Wisconsin residents who are undergraduate students at a participating Wisconsin college or university. They must be interested in government, public service or political careers and demonstrate financial need. Selection is based on academic merit, leadership, initiative, communication skills, extracurricular activities and commitment to public service.

 

Akash Kuruvilla Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 19

Applicants must be entering or current full-time college students at an accredited U.S. four-year college or university. They must demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, integrity and excellence in diversity. Selection is based on character, financial need and the applicant's potential to impact his or her community.

 

Disney/ABC Television Writing Program

Award: $50,000, Deadline: Open

Applicants must be age 21 or older. They must be able to work in the U.S. legally. Professional writing experience is not necessary, but applicants must have strong spec script writing skills. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Dr. Harold Kerzner Scholarships

Award: $7,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be current or entering undergraduate or graduate students who are studying or planning to study project management at a degree-granting college or university. Selection is based on academic achievement and extracurricular activities.

 

Matthew H. Parry Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be undergraduate students who are enrolled in a degree-granting program. They must have an interest in pursuing a career in project management. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

PMI Eric Jenett Founders Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be undergraduate students who are enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in project management or a related subject at an accredited post-secondary institution. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Robert Yourzak Scholarship Award

Applicants must be project management students who are enrolled in a degree-granting program at a post-secondary institution. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Love Your Body Poster Contest

Award: $350, Deadline: January 15

Applicants may be non-students or may be students of any grade level at a primary, secondary or postsecondary school. They can be residents of any country. They must design and submit an original poster that challenges limiting, stereotypical or negative portrayals of women in the media. Selection is based on poster message and graphical attractiveness.

 

DTE Energy Foundation Sphinx Competition

Award: $50,000, Deadline: November 7

Applicants must be U.S. legal residents who are of junior high school, high school or college age. They must submit a videotape of a solo performance in order to be considered for the live semifinals competition. Selection is based on the quality of performance during the semifinal and final rounds of live competition.

 

Korean Ancestry Grant

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicants must be of Asian ancestry and have at least one Asian grandparent. They must be entering or current undergraduate students. Preference will be given to applicants of Korean ancestry. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Oregon Army National Guard

Award: -, Deadline: Open

Students must serve in the Oregon Army National Guard. The educational program provides tuition and expenses for vocational school, distance learning, alternative credit programs or college. The Student Loan Repayment Program helps students in repaying up to $50,000. Students must take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB).

 

Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards

Award: $36,000, Deadline: January 4

Applicants must be Jewish teens, U.S. residents and between 13 and 19 years old. Two references and an application form are required. Teens' projects can help either the Jewish community or the general community as long as they have not been remunerated for their services. Teens may be nominated by any community member who knows the importance of their project - except family members - or may also nominate themselves.

Women's Independence Scholarship Program (WISP)

Award: $2,000, Deadline: At least two months before start date of schooling

Applicants must plan to attend an accredited program full-time or part-time. Preference is given to undergraduate programs and programs in this order of priority: state supported community colleges, state supported colleges or universities, technical/vocational schools, private colleges or universities or for-profit schools. Students must have been direct survivors of intimate partner abuse, with priority given to women who have been parted from their partner for at least one year. Students must also be U.S. citizens or legal residents and demonstrate financial need.

 

The College of Idaho - Idaho Opportunity Scholarship

Kathy Larson/Laurel Zechlinski Memorial Scholarships

Applicants must be current members or the children of members and be currently attending high school or an accredited trade or technical school, junior college or university. Students must be taking a minimum of 12 semester hours or 10 term hours and have a minimum 2.7 high school GPA or a minimum 3.0 college GPA. Applicants must also demonstrate good citizenship in their school and community.

 

Lewis-Clark State College - Idaho Opportunity Scholarship

Applicants must be relatives of an active member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA),earning or earned a bachelor's or master's degree in education and pursuing or have pursued their teaching certification exam.
