Apprentice program students must also be working full-time for a licensed plumbing or HVAC contractor who is a member of the PHCC. Two $2,500 scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled in either a PHCC-approved apprentice program or a full-time certificate or degree program at an accredited two-year community college, technical college or trade school. Four $2,500 scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited four-year college or university.

Two scholarships will be awarded to students who are enrolled in either a PHCC-approved apprentice program or a full-time certificate or degree program at an accredited two-year community college, technical college or trade school. Students must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in education, health service/science, religious studies, sacred music or social service/sciences. Financial need is required. Preference is given to members of racial and ethnic minorities.

They must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher and an SAT I math score of 600 or higher and a critical reading score of 550 or higher or must have an ACT composite score of 27 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
