Scholarships in College Sophomore

University Merit - Resident Scholarship

Award: $5,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident who has been named as a finalist by the National Merit Corporation and who designates West Virginia University as their school of first choice by the National Merit Corporation's deadline date.

 

General Academic Scholarship

Award: $8,700, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an entering freshman or continuing/transfer student. Entering freshmen applicants must rank in the top quarter of their secondary school class with a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 24). Continuing/transfer applicants must be active in a university program with a minimum 3.25 GPA.

 

Alumni Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have a parent who has graduated from Seton Hill.

 

Performing Arts Scholarship - Theatre Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a theatre student who plans to participate in the college's Stage Company performances or serve in technical production areas. Performance audition is required.

 

Art Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: None

Applicant must have a strong commitment to the creative process both in making art and in looking at historical and contemporary works of art. Portfolio review is required.

 

Valedictorian Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a high school valedictorian who did not win any other Hope College-sponsored merit-based academic scholarships.

 

Leaven International Student Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 1 (Priority)

Applicant must be an international student, have a minimum TOEFL score of 530, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be active in high school or college community.

 

Athletic Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1 (Priority)

Applicant must be a full-time student involved in varsity athletics.

 

Diocesan Youth Involvement Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1 (Priority)

Applicant must have a minimum 2.25 GPA and be a member of the Catholic Youth Organization.

 

Catholic College Tuition Waiver

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1 (Priority)

Applicant must be a dependent of a full-time Kansas Catholic college employee.

 

Catholic School Tuition Waiver

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1 (Priority)

Applicant must be an employee, or dependent or spouse of an employee, of a Kansas Catholic school.

 

Alumni Grant

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1 (Priority)

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be the dependent of an alumni.

 

Family Grant

Applicant should be enrolled full time and have at least one family member also enrolled full time.

 

Colorado State University (CSU) Alumni First Generation School

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Colorado resident who is a first-generation college student with financial need.

 

Robinson A. McWayne Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,400, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii and demonstrate financial need and academic merit.

 

Wyoming Colorado State University Alumni Scholarship

Award: $1,180, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a resident of Wyoming. Selection is based upon merit and financial need.

 

Flack Family Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be from Elbert County, CO, be in good academic standing, and demonstrate financial need.

 

Coastal Corporation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be the dependent of a Coastal Corporation employee.

 

Army ROTC Rotary Scholarship

Award: $300, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1070 (composite ACT score of 21) and be enrolled in ROTC.

 

ROTC Room and Board Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, minimum combined SAT I score of 970 (composite ACT score of 21), and be enrolled in ROTC. Two letters of recommendation required.

 

International Exchange Education Fund Scholarship
