Kansas Comprehensive Grant

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a Kansas resident, attend an eligible Kansas institution, be a full-time student, and demonstrate financial need.

 

Admissions Academic Scholarship - Non-Resident

Award: $3,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must not be a Florida resident.

 

Kansas State Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Kansas resident who is attending an eligible Kansas school as a full-time student, have been designated during senior year of high school as a State Scholar, and be able to demonstrate financial need.

 

Out of State Fee Waiver

Award: -, Deadline: Fall

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA, minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200, and be an incoming freshman student or transfer student.

 

Kansas Ethnic Minority Scholarship

Award: $1,850, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an ethnic minority who is a Kansas resident, attending an eligible Kansas school. Selection is based upon academic performance, ethnic category, and financial need.

 

Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Kansas resident attending a Kansas school, with high academic credentials and in a program leading to teacher certification in a "hard-to-fill" discipline or under-served geographic area. Preference given to college juniors and seniors and current teachers seeking license or endorsement in hard to fill disciplines.

 

Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Kansas resident attending an eligible Kansas institution full-time. Sponsorship with a health care agency is required.

 

Kansas Career Technical Workforce Grant

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Kansas resident who is attending an eligible Kansas school and enrolled in a program of study that has been identified as being in a critical industry, or high demand occupation.

 

David Arver Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must attend an accredited vocational/technical school in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin.

 

Kansas Optometry Service Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Kansas resident enrolled in a nationally accredited school of optometry.

 

ROTC Service Scholarship

Award: $2,880, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Kansas resident enrolled in ROTC and intend to become a commissioned officer in the Kansas National Guard. Applicant must be a full-time student with demonstrated financial need.

 

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Foundation Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a Native American with proof of tribal enrollment or a certificate of Indian blood, plan to attend a four-year, accredited educational institution full time, and live in one of the states served by the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Pacific Corp. and its affiliated companies.

 

Osteopathic Medical Service Scholarship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Kansas resident enrolled in a nationally accredited osteopathy school. Preference is given to first-year students.

 

Back to School Nursing Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 31; April 30; July 31; October 31

Applicant must be a legal resident of the United States who is at least 18 years of age or older at the time of registration and who plans to enroll in a previously unattended institution in the United States (award not open to residents in Florida, New York, Rhode Island or other states/territories). Applicant must be a nursing student. Response to why the applicant decided to pursue a nursing career is required.

 

Hansen Leaders of Tomorrow

Award: $4,000, Deadline: September 6

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school in the 26-county area of northwest Kansas, have a minimum 3.5 GPA, and plan on attending an accredited school in Kansas.

 

Albert M. Lappin Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be the child of an American Legion or Auxiliary member.

 

Music Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a Kansas resident attending an approved Kansas college or university.

 

Oratorical Contest Scholarship

Award: $18,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal resident under the age of 20 who is presently enrolled in a high school or junior school. Participation in the oratorical contest is required.

 

Beau Mitchell Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,300, Deadline: March 1

Applicant should preferably be a non-resident student who is a former member of the Boy Scouts of America with strong moral character and an orientation toward the outdoors. Financial need required.

 

Nonresident Incentive Tuition Waiver

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 1 (priority)

Applicant must be a nonresident of Oklahoma, have high GPA and ACT scores, and be the child or grandchild of OSU alumni/ae.

 

Sun Devil Scholarship

Award: $6,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a high school senior enrolling for the fall semester as a full-time student. Applicant will be automatically considered for the award once they have been admitted to the university.

 

Tuition Exemption Scholarship for Nonresidents

Award: $9,400, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a resident of a state other than Louisiana, have high standardized test scores, and an excellent academic record, especially in English and math.

 

Nonresident Fee Waiver

Award: $5,300, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a resident of a state other than Louisiana and have a commendable academic record.

 

Amigo Scholarship

Award: $14,815, Deadline: February 1 (fall); October 1 (spring)

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 high school GPA with minimum composite ACT score of 23 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1070) or have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA with a minimum composite ACT score of 26 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1170). Applicant must not be from New Mexico.

 

James B. Pearson Fellowship

Award: $4,375, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a Kansas resident attending a Kansas school. Preference is given to applicants whose studies are directly related to foreign affairs. Fellowship is to encourage graduate students to experience the global perspective gained from study abroad.

 

UA Scholar

Applicant must be an out-of=state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and minimum composite ACT score between 30 and 31 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1330 and 1390).

 

University President's Club Non-Resident Scholarship

Applicant must be a non-resident high school senior who will be an entering freshman. Selection will be based upon GPA and ACT/SAT scores, as well as proven leadership abilities, activities, and accomplishments.

Paul and Helen L. Grauer Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have at least a novice class radio license and be attending school in the ARRL Midwest Division (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska). Preference is given to residents of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska and to applicants majoring in communications, electronics, or a related subject.
