Scholarships in Trade-based Vocation

Singerman Nosseck Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a resident of the Greater Los Angeles Area and be enrolling or enrolled in a trade school that leads to certification. Selection is based upon ability to articulate goals, potential to reach goals, personal commitment and financial need.

 

Walter P. and Virginia Worland Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Eastern Hancock, Greenfield-Central, or Mt. Vernon High School who plans to attend a college, university, or vocational/technical school to study a trade- or technology-based vocation.

 

Class of 1954 Memorial Award Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 25

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Troy High School who will pursue post-secondary education in a technical or trade field. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Junior College/Trade School Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: October 17

Applicants must be women enrolled in an associate or technical program in transportation or the related fields of engineering, planning, finance or logistics. Selection is based on the applicant's academic record, transportation-related activities or job skills and specific transportation goals. Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher is required.
