AGC Education and Research Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a college sophomore or junior enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time, four- or five-year ABET or ACCE-accredited construction management, or construction-related engineering program. Application, evaluation forms, and transcript are required.

 

Roofing Industry Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be an employee, the immediate family member of an employee, or an immediate family member of a regular contractor member of National Roofing Contractors Association.

 

AGC Education and Research Foundation Graduate Award

Applicant must be a college senior enrolled in an ABET or ACCE-accredited (or candidate status) construction or civil engineering program, or possess an undergraduate construction or civil engineering degree from such an accredited program. Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student in a construction graduate degree program or part-time student in one of the sponsor's recognized master's programs for the fall term; one full academic year is required to remain in the applicant's schooling. Application, evaluation forms, and transcript are required.

 

Kilbourn-Sawyer Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in construction or engineering at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Associated General Contractors of Vermont Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 6

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing education or training in a field related to construction. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

William Morris Craft Fellowship

Award: $4,750, Deadline: December 1

Award is for six-month building conservation training in the UK. Selection is based upon application and personal interview in London. Award is in British Pounds Sterling.

 

Associated General Contractors of America Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: None

Selection is based upon academic ability, extracurricular activities, financial need, and interview. Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an ACCE- or ABET- accredited program.

 

National Association of Women in Construction National Award

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a full-time student.

 

Oklahoma General Contractors Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an Oklahoma resident. Preference is given to applicants with an emphasis in construction.

 

Frank W. Reed Scholarship

Applicant must be a Florida resident, be enrolled in final year of program, and demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.

 

C.G. Chase Construction Minority Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a minority student from Dade County, Fla., and want to return to Dade County to work. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

James A. Cummings Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be from Broward, Dade, or Palm Beach County, have a minimum 2.75 GPA, and demonstrate written communication ability. Preference is given to Broward County residents; second preference is given to Dade County residents.

 

Holbrook Construction Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Award must be used for computer purchase. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

Florida Business Roundtable Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Selection is based upon academic performance and financial need.

 

American Association of Cost Engineers Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a full-time student who is planning to enroll in a degree program related to total cost management (engineering, construction management, quantity surveying). Award may be used only for tuition, books, supplies, or other academic expenses.

 

Gainesville Builders Association Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be interested in home building. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

ACI Bertold E. Weinberg Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: October 12

Applicant must be a graduate student at an accredited school who already possesses a bachelor's degree by their application year. Applicant must be studying concrete construction and be enrolled for at least six credit hours per semester. Transcripts, recommendations, and an essay are required to be submitted.

 

Craft Training Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be enrolled or enrolling full time in a craft-training program approved by the Bureau of Apprenticeship Training or Post-Secondary Education Commission and submit application, training program description including cost, list of extracurricular activities, and resume.

 

Lambda Alpha International/Phoenix Chapter Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must have completed minimum six credit hours in major and have declared a major. Applicant must be available to participate in interview with Lambda Alpha International Scholarship Committee.

 

Will Ptak Trade and Industry Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Lorain County resident pursuing studies in the trade and industrial fields at a college or technical school. Financial need is considered. High academic achievement is not required. Preference will be given to graduates from schools in the city of Lorain, and Lorain County JVS.

 

Ruth E. Black Scholarship

Applicant must be at least a part-time student, and be a resident of Hawaii. . Selection is based upon a minimum 3.0 GPA, and financial need. Preference is given to children of those in construction related fields: architecture and engineering.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

AACE International Scholarship

Selection is based upon academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and essay submission.

 

Associated Builders and Contractors/CEG Scholarship

Applicant must be a current ABC student chapter member or employed by an ABC member firm.

 

Ruth E. Black Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate potential for academic growth and achievement. First priority is given to the children of engineers, contractors, and construction workers. Second priority is given to students pursuing construction-related majors.

 

High Tech Construction Carpentry Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be enrolled full-time in the Construction Technology-Carpentry program.

 

James L. Allhands Essay Competition

Applicant must be a full-time student who has attained a four- or five-year senior-level standing in a four-year ABET or ACCE-accredited (or candidate status) university construction or construction-related engineering program. Essay responding to a specific question each year is required.

 

HSF/Wal-Mart Stores College Scholarship Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage and is a sophomore, junior, senior, or first, or second year Master's student enrolled full-time with a minimum 3.0 GPA in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam. FAFSA is required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

Maxine and Inza McDowell Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Benson High School. FAFSA required.
