United States Naval Academy Class of 1963 Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be the wife, son, or daughter of a deceased member of the U.S. Naval Academy class of 1963.

 

Methodist Ministerial Scholarship

Applicant must be the child of an active United Methodist minister or missionary.

 

James M. and Aune P. Nelson Minority Student Grant

Applicant must be African-American, Native American, or Hispanic, a graduate of an Alton school, have a minimum 2.0 high school GPA or 2.5 college GPA, be enrolled full time, and be pursuing a degree program. Selection based on financial need.

 

Kansas Funeral Director Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,750, Deadline: March 30; September 30

Applicant must be registered with the State Board of Mortuary Arts as a student and plan to practice in Kansas.

 

Wilma Hoyal-Maxine Chilton Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Arizona for at least one year. Preference is given to honorably discharged veterans or immediate family members. Selection is based upon scholarship, character, financial need, and leadership. Resume listing background, activities, and goals, three letters of reference, and transcripts are required to be submitted.

 

Milton McKevett Teague Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or enrolled in an accredited college/business/trade school. Applicant must have been a Ventura County resident for a minimum of three preceding years and who shows school community involvement.

 

Arkansas Congress of Parents and Teachers Scholarship

Barry K. Wendt Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: June 2

Applicant must be a United States citizen attending a national college or university who exhibits a passion for a career in the aggregate industry. Letter of recommendation from a faculty advisor, a 300-500 word statement or essay explaining students' plans for a career in the aggregate industry, work experience or an internship (summer employee) are required.

 

Gordy and Gwen EMS Scholarship

Applicant must be an active member, or the spouse or child or an active member, of a Vermont-licensed ambulance or first response squad in Addison or Chittenden County. Academic achievement, financial need, and community involvement/service must be demonstrated.

 

United Parcel Services Scholarship for Minority Students

Applicant must be a member of an minority group, an active IIE member, be enrolled full time, and have a minimum 3.4 GPA. Selection is based upon scholastic ability, character, leadership, potential service to the profession, and financial need.

Johnson Grant

Applicant must be a Certified, Regular, Associate, or Student Member of ASCET who is a U.S. citizen and a full- or part-time student. Applicant must meet minimum grade qualifications and demonstrate financial need. Three letters of recommendation (one must be from a faculty member) required.

 

Aviation Boatswain's Mates Association Isabella M. Gillen Memorial Scholarship Award

Award: $2,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a dependent (family member) of an active, dues-paid, member of the ABMA for at least two years to qualify for this scholarship.

 

Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a dependent of a deceased or disabled roadway worker who was killed or injured in a work zone. Applicant must be a high school graduate or have received a GED.

 

Carrigan Scholarship

Applicant must be a child or grandchild of an alumnus/a, with a minimum 2.5 GPA, and show compassion, commitment, and a work ethic, which involves genuine friendship and loyalty.

 

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Applicant must provide a copy of their PTK membership card at the time of application for admission. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required in order to be considered.

 

Linda Cowden Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a deaf or hard of hearing person who has been accepted into a program to continue his or her education past the high school level, academically, or vocationally or be a hearing person who has been accepted into a program leading to a profession serving the deaf or hard of hearing community.
