Irlet Anderson Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior interested in pursuing a career in crimial justice or law enforcement.

 

Vermont Paralegal Organization Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will attend an accredited paralegal/legal assistant program. Academic achievement, financial need and community service must be demonstrated.

 

Bernice Pickens Parsons Fund Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a resident of West Virginia; preference will be given to Jackson County residents. Applicant must be planning to major in the fields of library science, nursing, or para-professional training in the legal field. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Warner, Norcross and Judd L.L.P. Legal Studies Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a Michigan resident who is a student of color (African American, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander) accepted to or presently attending an accredited law school or paralegal program. Selection is based upon transcripts, goals and aspirations, financial need and two letters of reference.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Career Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must plan a career in one of the fields of study offered at ESCC, and have at least a "B-" average in their high school grades, or have passed the GED tests. Current and past ESCC students must have completed at least 12 semester credit hours and have earned a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Legal Leaders Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a high school senior or current full-time undergraduate student who plans to pursue a degree in one of the following areas: pre-law, paralegal studies, or working towards their juris doctorate in any concentration of the law. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Console & Hollawell Paralegal Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be a student attending a community college, technical school or business school in the United States who is pursuing a degree or certification in paralegal studies, legal assistant, court reporting or other law-related field. Valid transcript reflecting their high school graduation/GED equivalency and proof of acceptance and enrollment in their school or community college required. d'Oliveira & Associates College Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior or full-time college student who plans to or is currently pursuing a degree/certification in law school, paralegal studies, legal assistant studies, court reporting, or any other law-related field from a community college, technical school, or business school in the United States. A 500-word essay persuading young people on the dangers of drinking and driving is required.

 

Thomson Reuters Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled or accepted into an accredited paralegal education program. Letter of recommendation, official transcript, and paper under four pages required.

 

PACE Scholarship

Applicant must be a National Federation of Paralegal Associations member who is eligible to take the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam (PACE). Questionnaire and essay under four pages on this topic required: Discuss whether paralegal credentialing exams such as PACE have a role in paralegal regulation, and if so, how?

 

PCCE Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations who is eligible to take the Paralegal CORE Competency Exam (PCCE). Questionnaire and essay under four pages required on this topic: Why are you seeking a professional credential? How will you use the CRP credential to promote or advance your career?

 

Legal Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: October 1

Applicant must be a student, at least 18 years old, who is pursuing a degree in the legal field. Minimum 3.0 GPA and essay between 200 and 300 words required on the following topic: "How can you make a positive difference in your community as a future leader in the legal profession?"

 

Eula Mae Jett Plan A Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who is a legal resident of California pursuing a degree in the legal field at a college/university (scholarship not intended for students planning to enter law school). Biographical letter, three letters of recommendation, and unofficial transcript required.

 

Eula Mae Jett Plan B Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a California resident who has completed at least one year at a California college pursuing a degree in the legal field (scholarship not intended for students planning to enter law school). Applicant must be a California resident who has had a career change and is now pursuing a degree in the legal field (scholarship not intended for students planning to enter law school).
