Admissions Academic Scholarship - Non-Resident

Award: $3,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must not be a Florida resident.

 

Moody's Mega Math Challenge

Award: $20,000, Deadline: February 22

Applicant must be a high school junior or senior who is part of a team working to solve an open-ended, applied math-modeling problem focused on a real-word issue in 14 hours. Teams must be comprised of three to five students.

 

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a permanent resident of a New England state, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, be enrolled in a demanding course of study, demonstrate skilled writing ability, and rank in the top 20% of their graduating high school class. Selection is based on community service, school and work activities, and aspirations and goals with integrity, resolution, self-discipline and judgment.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA, minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200, and be an incoming freshman student or transfer student.

 

Roothbert Fund Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student living in one of the designated states noted by the sponsor. Interview is required. Acceptance of the grant obligates the recipient to maintain a high standard of work and conduct, have transcripts sent to the Fund by his or her school after each semester, attend at least one weekend fellowship meeting, keep a close relationship with the Fund through correspondence and visits, and advise the Fund promptly of any change in his or her academic or financial situation. Application form is available online during November, December, and January only.

 

People's United Bank Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will attend an accredited school in Vermont approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need, school/community involvement and minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA required.

 

Columbus Citizens Foundation College Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: February 17

Applicant must be of Italian American descent, and entering college as a freshman for the first time. Total family income divided by number of people in household cannot exceed $25,000. Applicant must possess an 85% or greater GPA and have made contributions to their school and community. Must demonstrate financial need.

 

Patrick and Judith McHugh Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in a healthcare field at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Frank M. and Olive F. Gilman Foundation Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduate from one of the following Orange County or Windsor County high schools: Black River, Blue Mountain Union, Chelsea Public, Green Mountain Union, Hartford, Mid Vermont Christian, Oxbow, Randolph Union, Rochester, Sharon, South Royalton, Springfield, Thetford, Whitcomb, Williamstown, Windsor, or Woodstock. Financial need and school/community involvement must be demonstrated.

 

Calvin Coolidge Memorial Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in the social sciences at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and community involvement/service must be demonstrated.

 

Edgar May Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Caledonia, Essex, Orange, Orleans, or Windsor County, VT who faces significant barriers or obstacles that limit access to education after high school. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Upper Valley Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of the Upper Valley of Vermont who will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need and community involvement/service must be demonstrated.

Applicant must be a resident of Caledonia, Essex or Orleans County or Burlington, VT who will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Philip and Alice Angell Eastern Star Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in business or education at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need and minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA required.

 

Elizabeth J. Davis Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in licensed practical nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, registered nursing, speech language pathology, or social work at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need and intent to work in Vermont for two years must be demonstrated.

 

Hildegard Durfee Scholarship (Undergraduate)

Applicant must be a resident of Winham County, VT who can demonstrate financial need and academic achievement.

 

Vermont Healthcare Human Resources Association Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in healthcare and/or human resources at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding and intends to work in Vermont for a minimum of one year. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Trinity College of Vermont Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in social work or education at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need, community involvement/service and a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.
