Applicants must be Ph.D. candidates in an art history department in the U.S. who are working on dissertations about American visual arts history. All the Ph.D. requirements should be met except the dissertation before taking the fellowship. Applicants should submit an application, a proposal, a bibliography, illustrations (optional), a publications list (optional), three reference letters and an official transcript of graduate record. The fellowship lasts for a year.

Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in or accepted into a full-time accredited four-year university program and must reside in North America (Canada, Mexico or the U.S.). Undergraduate students must be at least juniors for the upcoming academic year and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Graduate students must have a minimum 3.2 GPA. Applicants must be enrolled in a major or in a graduate group concentrating on enology or viticulture or in a curriculum with a focus on a science basic to the wine and grape industry. Applicants must be either undergraduate or graduate students. The undergraduate scholarships are to be used during the junior or senior year at an Environmental Health Accreditation Council (EHAC) or NEHA member school. The graduate scholarship is available to applicants who are enrolled in a graduate program of study in environmental health sciences and/or public health and have at least one semester of coursework remaining.

Applicants must be instrumentalists or vocalists between the ages of 14 and 25 years of age and have physical or mental disabilities that limit one or more of their major life activities. Applicants need to include audio or videocassette recordings of three musical selections along with a one-page biography explaining why they feel they should be selected for the award. Awards are based on technique, tone, intonation, rhythm and interpretation from the taped performances.

Undergraduate students must be in a nutrition, physical education or culinary arts program. Graduate students must be enrolled in a nutrition, public nutrition, physical education or American Dietetic Association Approved Pre-professional Practice program. Minimum GPA requirement for graduate students is 3.0 and for undergraduates is 2.5.
