Deborah Snyder Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior in Palm Beach County, FL who wishes to pursue a collegiate course of study in architectural design, interior design, or landscape design.

 

Charles Abrams Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be an United States citizen with financial need who has been accepted into a graduate planning program at one of five eligible schools at which Charles Abrams taught. Applicant must be nominated by the program's department chair and ultimately be in the pursuit of a career as a practicing planner.

 

American Planning Association Planning Fellowship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be an African-American, Hispanic, or Native American who is an United States or Canadian citizen with financial need. Applicant must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate planning program that is accredited by the Planning Accredited Board.

 

Patrick L. Monahan Memorial Scholarship

Edilia and Francois-Auguste de Montequin Fellowship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: October 1

This fellowship is intended to support the research of junior scholars (usually scholars engaged in doctoral dissertation research) annually, and senior scholars (scholars who have completed their Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree) every other year in even-numbered years. The research to be supported must focus on Spanish, Portuguese, or Ibero-American architecture, including colonial architecture produced by the Spaniards in the Philippines and what is today the United States. Applicant must be a member of the Society of Architectural Historians.

Applicant must have a bachelor's degree by summer of the application year, have a special interest in concrete structures and be accepted or enrolled full-time for the first or second year of graduate study at an accredited school.

Douglas Darden Memorial Scholarship

James M. Hunter Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate in Architecture by September of the year award granted, graduate in Environmental Design with proven intent for formal study in architecture, architect licensed by and residing in Colorado; or a faculty member in the College of Architecture and Planning. Award is for graduate study or travel in the continental U.S.

 

C. Gordan Sweet Scholarship (Colorado AIA)

Applicant must show promise of contribution to profession or building industry, based on past performance, demonstrated financial need and disadvantaged status.

 

Ruth E. Black Scholarship

Applicant must be at least a part-time student, and be a resident of Hawaii. . Selection is based upon a minimum 3.0 GPA, and financial need. Preference is given to children of those in construction related fields: architecture and engineering.

 

Polaire Weissman Fund

Applicant needs to present a typed application, full resume, statement (not to exceed 1,000 words), and three letters of recommendation.

 

Sherman Fairchild Foundation Conservation Fellowship

Applicant must be a qualified candidate from the United States and abroad who have already reached an advanced level of training or experience.

 

Cohos Evamy Partners Travel Scholarship

Applicant must plan to enroll in the master's-level architecture program. Selection is based upon master's project proposal. Award is for travel intended to enrich experience in preparation for the recipient's master's project. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Waugh Scholarship in Architecture

Selection is based upon academic merit, motivation, leadership ability, and demonstrated concern for the welfare of others.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.
