Jim Andrews Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Eastern Hancock High School who was a member of a Boys and Girls Club and has been accepted into a college, university, or vocational/technical school.

 

Lee and Bessie S. Blazer Music Scholarship

Award: $1,459, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Hancock County high school who has been accepted to study music at a college or conservatory.

 

Earl J. and Irene B. Brooks Scholarship

Award: $4,667, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Hancock County high school or a recent graduate who currently resides in Hancock County and plans to attend a four-year college or university.

 

Christine Dowling Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who is a current resident of Hancock County and plans to continue their education at any post secondary institution.

 

Donna Duzan Nursing Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a current resident of Hancock County and able to show proof of enrollment or acceptance in a program for registered nursing or a specialization program within the nursing field.

 

Hancock County Shrine Club Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a resident of Hancock County, Indiana who is a graduate or graduating senior of a Hancock County high school and plans to pursue an education in the medical field at any level.

 

Ron Horning Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a high school graduate who has been a member of the Boys and Girls Club and has been accepted into an institution of higher learning.

 

Maxwell United Methodist Memorial Scholarship of Hancock County

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an active member of a United Methodist church who currently resides in Hancock County and will attend a college or university. Minimum 2.95 GPA required.

 

Viva Pressler Scholarship

Award: $1,397, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of a public high school in Hancock County, Indiana who had a minimum "B" average in mathematics and science during their high school career.

 

Steve Utt Scholarship

Award: $265, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Hancock County high school who will pursue a two- or four-year degree in architecture, building trades, drafting, structural engineering, or another building trade-related field at a college or university in Indiana.

 

Mike Johnson Memorial Scholarship

Award: $740, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Mt. Vernon High School who resides in Hancock County, is in the top third of their class, and is a member of the Student Staff/Student Council.

 

Dr. Brian and Charlotte Kirkwood Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior or past graduate of Mt. Vernon High School who resides in Hancock County, has participated in at least two seasons of a sport and at least one school club, and will pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited public college or university. Minimum 3.2 GPA required.

 

Bruce McKinney Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Mt. Vernon High School who resides in Hancock County, is in the upper half of their class, and is a member of the National Art Honor Society.

 

Gladys Hancock Shumway Scholarship

Award: $554, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Mt. Vernon High School who resides in Buck Creek or Vernon Township in Hancock County, is in the top 25% of their class, and plans to attend an accredited college or university in the state of Indiana.

 

Judy D. Smith Memorial Scholarship

Award: $600, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Mt. Vernon High School who resides in Hancock County, is in the top third of their class, and intends to major in elementary education.

 

Mary Ash Scott Bardonner Bardes Scholarship

Award: $953, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from New Palestine High School who resides in Brandywine or Sugar Creek Township and is pursuing a career in elementary or secondary education.

 

Ashlee Brooke Spangler Memorial Scholarship

Award: $607, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from New Palestine High School who resides in Hancock County and is in the upper 50% of their class.

 

Adult Re-Education Scholarship

Award: $800, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a current Hancock County resident at least 25 years of age who had their normal course of education interrupted and plans to pursue an accredited degree or certification.

 

OPTIONS Scholarship Fund

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 2

Applicant must be a resident of Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan or Shelby County who will attend a college or university in Indiana. Financial need and academic promise must be demonstrated.
