Applicant must be between the ages of 13 and 25 and be currently enrolled at an accredited secondary school or post-secondary institution of higher learning (college, university, or trade school). Applicant must creatively present their viewpoint in video format on The Importance of Intellectual Property and Copyright Law.

If applicant is currently studying outside of their home country, their video can describe any trip they would like to take. If applicant is not currently studying outside of their home country, their entry must describe theirproposed study abroad.

Applicant must have a cardiac disease or deformity that is accompanied by a letter from a licensed physician. Transcript, letter of recommendation, personal interview, and personal essay also required.

Applicants must be high school students, college undergraduates, graduate students or adult students residing in the U.S. and attending or planning to attend any accredited college or university within the next 12 months. The scholarship may be used to pay for tuition, books, room and board, computers or any education-related expenses.

Selection based upon applicant's scholastic record, character, demonstrated leadership, service to CF-related causes and the broader community, and need for financial assistance.
