Award requires applicants to design a marketing campaign for IKEA. Applicant must be at least 18 year of age or older and enrolled as an undergraduate student at a college, university, or portfolio school in the United States between November 1, 2012 and November 1, 2013. A specific major is not required; applicant may be part of a group or work on the project individually. Winning recipient/team will receive $5,000; runner-up/team will receive $1,000.

Short essay about applicant's green initiatives (500 words or less) required. Bonus awards will be granted to those who take a photo of pest birds in action. One applicant will win the essay contest scholarship and two will win the photo bonus award.
