Italian American Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

Applicant must be of Italian ancestry and be a resident of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, Will, or McHenry County in Illinois. Applicant must be a full time student who has a minimum 3.5 GPA (4.5 on 5.0 scale). Selection is based upon the applicant's good moral character, scholastic achievement, and sincerity of interest in attending or finishing college.

 

Katherine J. Schutze Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a woman who is a member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), plans to prepare for the ordained ministry, shows financial need, and has at least a grade average of "C+." Applicant must submit transcripts and references.

John and Geraldine Hobble Licensed Practical Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be a Kansas resident, be at least 18 years old prior to taking the Kansas State Board Examination, and attend an accredited Kansas school that awards an L.P.N. degree.

Applicant must be between 20 and 35 years of age by deadline and have been born in the state of California, but need not be a current resident. Applicant must submit a literary work-in-progress: fiction, nonfiction, prose, poetry, or drama. Nonfiction writers who are not recipients of the award may be considered for the $1,000 Special Award for Nonfictional Prose. No separate application is required for the special award.

Applicant must have an improving versus declining academic outlook; selection will be made in favor of the student that normally would not receive an academic scholarship.

 

New Voices Young Playwrights Contest

The Native American Scholarship

Applicant must be an enrolled tribal member who plans on working with a tribe or nation in the field of education or social service. Applicant must be accepted or already enrolled in an undergraduate program and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to applicants entering his/her junior year.
