Dutch and Ginger Arver Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a high school senior or college student who is attending an accredited school in an avionics or aircraft repair program.

 

Aviation Scholarship Program

Award: $3,000, Deadline: July 8

Applicant must be a resident of Pennsylvania who is interested in an aviation career. Applicants for the Professional Pilot category must hold a student pilot certificate and be able to show proof that they have soloed.

 

ADMA Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 28

Applicant must be a junior or senior attending a four-year school or a sophomore attending a two-year school. Two letters of recommendation and 500-word essay describing desire to pursue a career in the aviation field are required.

 

AAAE Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a full-time student in an aviation/airport management program. Selection is based upon academic records, financial need, extracurricular and community activities, work experience, and a personal statement. Only one student from each school is eligible to participate. Minimum 3.0 GPA and recommendation required.

 

DFW PAMA Scholarship Fund

Award: -, Deadline: April 20

Applicant must have selected a career in aviation maintenance, be enrolled with a minimum "B" grade average in a FAR Part 147-certified program leading to an airframe/powerplant license, and submit copy of grades and letter of reference. Selection is based upon academic performance, work experience, school/community involvement, career commitment and potential, financial need, and letter of reference.

 

Allen H. and Nydia Meyers Foundation Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a student residing in a Lenawee County School District who is graduating from a Lenawee County High School. Appliacnt must be planning to attend a school of higher education and major in aeronautics or the sciences/allied fields.

 

Joshua Esch Mitchell Aviation Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 1

Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular activities, financial need, personal statement, and one letter of recommendation from an aviation professional.

 

AAAE Scholarship for Native Americans

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be attending a Native American college or university with junior class standing (or higher) who is enrolled in an aviation program. Selection is based upon race, academic records, financial need, participation in school and community activities, work experience, and a personal statement. Minimum 3.0 GPA and recommendation are required. Only one Native American student from each school is eligible to participate.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Dowling College School of Aviation Civil Air Patrol Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA from high school or a minimum 3.0 GPA from Dowling College, and must have received the Billy Mitchell Award.

 

Technical Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a student with at least a "B-" average in their high school grades or have passed the GED tests, who is planning on a career in one of the technical fields of study offered at ESCC.

 

GBAA Aviation Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Georgia high school graduate (or have a GED equivalent from an accredited Georgia school or Home School Program) who is enrolled as a full-time student or has been accepted as a full-time student into an accredited/FAA-approved college program pursuing an aviation-related certificate or undergraduate or graduate degree in the fields of flight technology, aviation maintenance technology, aviation operations, aviation management, or aeronautical engineering (applicants in other aviation disciplines will be considered). Completed application, 500-1,000 word essay, and one letter of recommendation from a school official or other advisor/mentor are required to be submitted. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required (both high school and college, if applicable).

 

Sport's Pilot Shop Aviation Explorer Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be an Aviation Explorer who plans to enroll in an aviation curriculum at any university or school. Three letters of recommendation, a short essay and a photograph are required. Application must be approved by applicant's local Learning for Life office for consideration.

 

Fred Souders & Lee Ray Olinger Aviation Scholarship Endowment

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of Southridge High School pursuing a degree related to the field of aviation.

 

Frosty & Muriel Jones Scholarship Endowment

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of Southridge High School pursuing education in the field of aviation.

 

EAA Chapter 1354 Aviation Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Johnson County high school who will pursue a full-time associate or baccalaureate course of study at Purdue University - School of Aviation, Vincennes University, Indiana State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University or University of Illinois and planning a career as a commercial pilot, transport pilot, airport administration or aeronautical engineering.

 

Blair Parsley Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Johnson County high school who will study aviation at an accredited college or university in Indiana. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Shelly Szepanski Memorial Flight Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be a female enrolling in a science-related degree program who has passed the FAA written flight test and medical exams.

 

Wells County Pilot Association, Inc. Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 30

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Wells County, IN high school planning to enter an accredited post-secondary aviation-related field of study.

 

ACI-NA Airport Commissioner's Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in airport management or airport operations. Applicants must attend an accredited school in the U.S. or Canada and have a GPA of at least 3.0.

 

H.P. "Bud" Milligan Aviation Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 28

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college, aviation academy or technical school pursuing a course of study focusing on aviation. Applicants must also be involved in school and community activities as well as aviation and be an EAA member or be recommended by an EAA member.

 

Joseph Frasca Excellence in Aviation Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 6

Applicants must be juniors or seniors enrolled at a UAA member college or university with at least a 3.0 GPA. Students must demonstrate excellence in all areas related to aviation and have FAA certification in either aviation maintenance or flight. Applicants must be a member of at least one aviation organization and be involved in aviation activities that demonstrate interest in and enthusiasm for aviation.

 

Eugene S. Kropf Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: June 15

Applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled in an aviation-related curriculum of a two-year or a four-year degree at a UAA member college or university. Students must have a 3.0 GPA and write a 250-word paper on how they can improve aviation education.

 

Kansas Agricultural Aviation Association Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be Kansas residents and high school graduates who are planning to enroll at a Kansas postsecondary institution. They must be recommended for the award by a member of the Kansas Agricultural Aviation Association (KAAA) and must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who are majoring in or planning to major in agriculture, agricultural business, aviation or engineering. Selection is based on academic merit and financial need.
