Harry J. Donnelly Memorial Scholarship

Award: $450, Deadline: May 18

Applicant must be a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting or a graduate degree in law, has a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, and plans to enroll full time in the following year. Applicant should have a demonstrated record of leadership within the chapter, on campus, or in the community.

 

Frank L. Greathouse Governmental Accounting Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: Late February

Applicant must be enrolled full-time, be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and submit recommendation from advisor or program chair.

 

Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: Late February

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident and must be a member of one of the following ethnic groups: African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Eskimo/Aleut, Hispanic, Indian.

 

Greer, Lapham, Roth Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a resident of the western slope of Colorado, and have financial need.

 

Daniel W. Noblin Scholarship

Award: $900, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours per semester), and demonstrate financial need. Entering freshman and transfer applicants should have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100. Returning student applicant should have a minimum 3.0 Quality Credit Average (QCA). Applicant must submit FAFSA. Preference given to accounting majors and members of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

Thomas B. Reynolds Memorial Scholarship

Applicant with highest GPA is given preference. Community involvement is considered.

 

Excellence in Accounting Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a resident of New York. Applicant must be enrolled at or accepted to a New York college or university with plans to major in accounting. Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and completed FAFSA required.

 

Schuman Merit Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and must demonstrate financial need.

 

Educational Assistance Commitment Grant

Applicant must be in fifth year of program leading to the CPA certificate at an Ohio school, and have earned at least 120 semester hours. Part-time students are also eligible for a partial grant. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

Virginia D. Bufkin Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a degree-seeking student, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need. Preference given to business/accounting majors (if not available, then open to any major).

F. Richard Matthews Q.C. Scholarship

Applicant must be a B.Comm graduate of the Faculty of Management and have an accounting concentration or CA designation. Selection is based upon academic merit. If no suitable candidate is found, then a student entering the faculty who is a graduate of the Faculty of Management will be considered.

 

Danton Business/Economics Scholarship

Applicant must have been admitted to the university by March 1 and be a student with a minimum 3.0 GPA who is transferring with an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree and majoring in business, economics, or accounting.

 

Esther R. Sawyer Research Award

Applicant must submit an original manuscript of 3,000 to 5,000 words on a topic related to internal auditing. The specific topic is chosen annually. Selection is based upon focus on the selected topic, originality, quality of writing, and value to the internal auditing profession.

Applicant's high school transcript must reflect a minimum 3.5 GPA. Selection is based primarily upon scholastic achievement.

 

Gordon Scheer Accounting Scholarship

Applicant must be an accounting major attending an accredited Colorado college or university who has completed at least eight semester hours of accounting courses, including one intermediate course. Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Selection is based upon scholastic achievement.

 

Ethnic Diversity Accounting Scholarship (Undergraduate/Graduate)

Applicant must be African-American, Asian-American, Native American, or of Hispanic or Pacific Island descent, and must be an accounting major attending an accredited Colorado college or university who has completed at least eight semester hours of accounting courses, including one intermediate course. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon scholastic achievement and financial need.

 

General Accounting Scholarship

Applicant must be an accounting major attending an accredited Colorado college or university who has completed at least eight semester hours of accounting courses, including one intermediate course. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon scholastic achievement and financial need.

 

Ethnic Diversity Accounting Scholarship (Incoming Freshman)

Applicant must be African-American, Asian-American, Native American, or of Hispanic or Pacific Island descent, and must be in senior year of high school and enrolled in the summer or fall semester/quarter at an accredited Colorado college or university which offers accounting courses transferable to other Colorado institutions. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon scholastic achievement.
