PDX Abroad Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who attends a college or university in Portland, Oregon. Must be planning to study abroad for at least four weeks.

 

LGBTQ Scholarship

Applicant must be a current or future leader in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ), and straight ally community from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington pursuing a post secondary education. Letter of recommendation and copy of transcript required. Resume and portfolio are optional.

 

Stamps Leadership Scholarship

Applicant must be an Oregon resident who graduated from an Oregon high school who will be an incoming freshman at the University of Oregon. Minimum 3.85 GPA and minimum 1240 combined math and critical reading SAT score OR 28 ACT composite score required. Leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service, and innovation must be demonstrated. Transcripts, test scores, activities and talents, volunteer service, work experience, and short-answer essays required.

 

BLET Auxiliary Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicants must be the children of both a BLET Auxiliary and BLET member (living or deceased) and enrolled or accepted by an accredited university, college or institute of higher learning. If the applicant is a graduate student or returning to school as a sophomore, junior or senior, he or she must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based on academic record, leadership, character and personal achievement.

 

COSA Youth Development Program Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 21

Applicants must be students at an Oregon public high school who are active in their communities and schools. They must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and plan to attend an Oregon college or university. A field of study must be chosen. An endorsement from a COSA member is required, and the student must enroll in college the fall after high school graduation.

 

Confederation of Oregon School Administrators Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 20

Applicants must be graduating seniors at an Oregon public high school who plan to attend a public or private institution of higher learning in the state. They must have a 3.5 or higher GPA, be active in school and community activities and be endorsed by a COSA member.

 

L.G. Wells Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be graduating seniors at an Oregon public high school, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and be active participants in extracurricular and community-related activities. They must have plans to attend an Oregon institution of higher learning and must plan to begin postsecondary studies during the fall following high school graduation. They must demonstrate financial need or must have plans to major in education or engineering. Applicants must be formally endorsed by a member of the Confederation of Oregon School Administrators (COSA). Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Northwest Danish Association Scholarships

Applicants must be residents of or enrolled in accredited schools in Oregon or Washington. Applicants must also be NWDA members (or have a family membership if under 18 years of age). Through travel, field of study, study abroad, heritage or life experience, applicants must clearly be able to illustrate their connection to Denmark. The NWDA scholarship must be used in seeking an academic degree, vocational degree, re-training for employment or training for an career in the arts. Those who have participated in NWDA activities or programs will be given preference.
