Admissions Academic Scholarship - Non-Resident

Award: $3,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must not be a Florida resident.

 

Alabama G.I. Dependents' Scholarship

Award: $1,150, Deadline: Varies

Applicant must be the dependent of a disabled veteran (child or stepchild under age 26) or spouse or non-remarried widow(er) who is enrolled in a state-supported institution in Alabama. The veteran must have honorably served at least 90 days of continuous active federal military service, be rated 20% or more disabled due to service-connected disabilities or have held the qualifying rating at the time of death, or be a former prisoner of war, declared missing in action, or have died as the result of a service-connected disability or in the line of duty while on active duty. The veteran must have been a permanent civilian resident of the state of Alabama for at least one year immediately prior to initial entry into active military service or any subsequent period of military service in which a break in service occurred and civilian residency was established. Dependents of permanently disabled service-connected veterans rated at 100% may also qualify after the veteran has established at least five years of permanent residency in Alabama.

 

Moody's Mega Math Challenge

Award: $20,000, Deadline: February 22

Applicant must be a high school junior or senior who is part of a team working to solve an open-ended, applied math-modeling problem focused on a real-word issue in 14 hours. Teams must be comprised of three to five students.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA, minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200, and be an incoming freshman student or transfer student.

 

Diversity Scholarship

Award: $12,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a white graduate of an Alabama high school, and must have at least one parent or guardian residing in Alabama.

 

Whitehead Scholarship

Award: $2,282, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a female Christian, demonstrate financial need, and be a resident of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia.

 

ASGC Fellowship

Award: $22,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must submit a research proposal related to space and including an extramural research experience at a NASA field center, plan to be involved in ASGC outreach activities, and demonstrate career interests congruent to NASA's aerospace, science, and technology programs. Selection is based upon research proposal, letters of recommendation, resume, standardized test scores, and transcript.

 

Back to School Nursing Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 31; April 30; July 31; October 31

Applicant must be a legal resident of the United States who is at least 18 years of age or older at the time of registration and who plans to enroll in a previously unattended institution in the United States (award not open to residents in Florida, New York, Rhode Island or other states/territories). Applicant must be a nursing student. Response to why the applicant decided to pursue a nursing career is required.

 

American Legion-Alabama Scholarship

Award: $850, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be the child or grandchild of a veteran of World War I, World War II, Korean Conflict, Vietnam Conflict, Beirut/Granada Emergency, or Panama Emergency. Applicant must attend an Alabama state-supported college. Self-addressed, stamped envelope is required to receive application.

 

Joseph Collins Foundation Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must obtain application from the medical school authorities, complete it and return it to them for forwarding to the Foundation. Selection is based upon financial need, scholastic record and standing, demonstrated interest in arts and letters or other cultural pursuits outside the field of medicine, intention to specialize in neurology, psychiatry, or general practice, evidence of good moral character, and attendance at an accredited medical school located east of or contiguous to the Mississippi River.

 

Beau Mitchell Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,300, Deadline: March 1

Applicant should preferably be a non-resident student who is a former member of the Boy Scouts of America with strong moral character and an orientation toward the outdoors. Financial need required.

 

Nonresident Incentive Tuition Waiver

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 1 (priority)

Applicant must be a nonresident of Oklahoma, have high GPA and ACT scores, and be the child or grandchild of OSU alumni/ae.

 

Sun Devil Scholarship

Award: $6,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a high school senior enrolling for the fall semester as a full-time student. Applicant will be automatically considered for the award once they have been admitted to the university.

 

Tuition Exemption Scholarship for Nonresidents

Award: $9,400, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a resident of a state other than Louisiana, have high standardized test scores, and an excellent academic record, especially in English and math.

Amigo Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 high school GPA with minimum composite ACT score of 23 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1070) or have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA with a minimum composite ACT score of 26 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1170). Applicant must not be from New Mexico.

Two-Year College Academic Scholarship

Applicant must be accepted for enrollment at a public, two-year, postsecondary educational institution in Alabama. Preference is given to Alabama residents. Selection is based upon academic merit. Financial need is not considered.

 

Junior and Community College Athletic Scholarship
