Baird Society Resident Scholar

Award: -, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be in residence at the Smithsonian during the award period. The focus of the applicant's project must center around Special Collections, which are located in Washington, D.C., and New York City.

 

MasterCard Scholarship Program

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 16

Applicant must be Hispanic or of Hispanic descent. Financial need is required.

 

The Princeton Prize

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a high school student who has been actively involved in volunteer work that has had a significant impact on race relations. Two applications required; one from applicant, one from applicant's supporter.

 

NYCDA 4-day National Summer Workshop Scholarship

Award: $25,000, Deadline: July 2

Applicant must be a dancer who is registered to attend the NYCDA four-day Summer Workshop and who has recently completed their junior or senior year in high school. Audition and personal essay required.

 

Thomas G. Labrecque Smart Start Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: January 17

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a New York City high school who is a NYC resident that has been accepted to one of the following colleges: Barnard College, Baruch College, Brooklyn College, City College, Columbia University, Fordham University (Lincoln Center campus, Rosehill campus), Long Island University (Brooklyn campus), New York University, Pace University (Manhattan campus), Polytechnic Institute of New York University, St. Francis College, or St. John's University. Three essays and recommendations required. Financial need and community involvement must be demonstrated. Life science or fine art majors are excluded from this scholarship.
