ASTA Alaskan Airlines Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada who is enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate in a travel-and-tourism- or hospitality-related program of study at an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada, with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a U.S. 4.0 scale. Applicants enrolled in a two-year or three-year (for Quebec) college will be entering the final year in the fall of the calendar year of application, and will have completed a minimum 30 or 60 credit hours respectively by the end of the semester. Applicants enrolled in a four-year school will be entering junior or senior year in the fall of the calender year of application and will have completed a minimum 60 or 90 credit hours respectively by the end of this semester or term. For a complete application, please submit a U.S. or Canadian passport as proof of citizenship, or U.S. or Canadian Alien Registration Card as proof of permanent residency, a resume, two evaluations and letters of recommendation (one academic, one professional), official transcript, and an essay. Essay topic: Discuss what segment of the travel and tourism or hospitality industry your current program of study focuses on. What opportunities are you taking advantage of as you prepare for a career in the industry? Please tell us about your academic and extracurricular activities and experiences, i.e. work, internships, etc., and how they tie into your present and future goals. Mention any awards or commendations you have received relating to the travel and tourism or hospitality industry.

 

ASTA Princess Cruises Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada who is a full-time or part-time undergraduate enrolled in a travel-and-tourism- or hospitality-related program of study at an accredited, two-, three-, or four-year college or university in the U.S. or Canada with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 U.S. scale. Applicants enrolled at a two- or three-year school will be entering their final year in the fall of the calendar year of application, and will have completed a minimum 30 or 60 credit hours respectively by the end of this semester or term. ASTA Holland American Line Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada who is a full-time or part-time undergraduate student enrolled in a travel-and-tourism or hospitality-related program of study at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students enrolled in a two-year or three-year college will be entering the final year and will have completed a minimum of 30 or 60 credit hours respectively at the end of the semester or term. Students enrolled in a four-year college or university will be entering junior or senior year in the fall of the calendar year of application and will have completed a minimum of 60 or 90 credit hours respectively by the end of the semester or term. ASTA Stan and Leone Pollard Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant needs to be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada who is a full-time or part-time undergraduate in a travel-and-tourism- or hospitality-related program of study at an accredited two-year college or university in the U.S. or Canada with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale OR re-entering the job market in the travel-and-tourism or hospitality industry. Applicants enrolled at a tow-year school will be entering their final year in the fall of the calendar year of application, and will have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours by the end of this semester or term. Burger King Scholars Program

Award: $50,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicant must be a resident of the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico who is graduating from high school or home school and plans to enroll full-time for the entire academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Third Marine Division Association Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: -, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a dependent, unmarried child of an Association member, or of any military personnel who served in any 3d Marine Division (Rein) unit and lost their lives as a result of combat actions in the operations known as Desert Shield and Desert Storm and any other Southwest Asia operations after August 2, 1990. Applicant must attend a college or university in the United States or Canada. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

The C.D. Howe Scholarship Endowment Fund National Engineering Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has completed the first year of an engineering program. Applications are by nomination by deans of engineering only.

 

C.D. Howe Scholarship Endowment Fund Thunder Bay / Port Arthur Scholarship Program

Award: $5,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who resides in Thunder Bay or the former federal constituency of Port Arthur. Minimum 3.2 GPA required.

 

Conocophillips Canada Centennial Scholarship Program

Award: $10,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has been nominated by the eligible institution (maximum three candidates per institution). Minimum 2.8 GPA required.

 

Fessenden-Trott Scholarship

Award: $9,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has completed the first year of their first bachelor degree program by the date of June 1, and is enrolled full-time for the second year. Applications are by nomination only, and each university may nominate one candidate.

 

L'Oreal Canada For Women in Science

Applicant must be a female Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is already engaged in pursuing research at the post-doctoral level.

 

Mattinson Endowment Fund Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

Award: $2,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has been diagnosed with a permanent disability and is working on a first undergraduate degree. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Aboriginal Postsecondary Education and Training Bursary

Award: $3,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be of aboriginal descent, demonstrate financial need and meet Ontario residency requirements.

 

Al & Vi MacBain Bursary

Award: $475, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a student from Niagara Falls who has demonstrated financial need and meets OSAP residency requirements.

 

Andrew Puim Memorial Bursary

Award: $300, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a varsity athlete at Brock University, who demonstrates financial need, meets Ontario residency requirements, and has a minimum average of 70%. Preference given first to men's soccer players, then to female soccer players.

 

Annette Dillon Urlocker Bursary

Award: $475, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a female student raising children and completing a degree on a part-time basis, who demonstrates financial need and meets Ontario residency requirements.

 

Returning Scholars Award

Award: $1,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a continuing full-time undergraduate student at Brock University who attained a minimum of 80% on four or more undergraduate degree credits in the previous fall and winter sessions, and who does not already hold a renewable Brock Scholars Award.

 

Canadian Federation of University Women Welland and District Bursary

Award: $1,200, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a mature female student who is continuing her interrupted education, demonstrates financial need, and meets Ontario residency requirements. Preference given to Niagara area residents.

 

Dr. Alan Earp Scholarship

Award: $2,600, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a Brock University student entering into the third- or fourth-year of any program, who has demonstrated academic excellence and financial need, and meets Ontario residency requirements.

 

Dr. Terrance and Cathryn Boak Scholarship

Applicant must be a varsity athlete at Brock University who has demonstrated academic merit, financial need, and meets Ontario residency requirements. Preference given to female student-athletes.
