Applicant must be a high school senior who is planning to attend a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited four-year college/university with a major related to life sciences. Applicant must have a minimum 3.3 GPA, a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 2000, and be in the top tenth (or top quarter) of their class. Essay, two letters of recommendation, list of all awards received, list of Advanced Placement or Honors courses with grades, and transcripts are required to be submitted.

North Dakota Petroleum Council Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student majoring in geology, earth science, geological engineering, petroleum engineering, energy economics and finance, process plant technology, energy management, petroleum production, mechanical maintenance, water and wastewater, or instrumentation and control at a North Dakota college/university, or have work/internship experience in the oil and gas industry. Minimum 3.0 GPA, college transcripts, letter of reference, and one-page essay required.

They must complete at least two semesters of undergraduate study by the award date. NYWEA Major Environmental Career Scholarship

Applicants must be residents of the state of New York and must be high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an environment-related bachelor's degree program no later than the fall following graduation. The programs could include but are not limited to environmental engineering, civil engineering with an environmental minor, chemical engineering with an environmental minor, hydrogeology with an environmental emphasis or biology or microbiology with an environmental emphasis. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must currently be enrolled in a geological science graduate program at an institution in the United States, Canada, Mexico or Central America. Applicants must also be members of the Geological Society of America (GSA).

 

Worthy Women's Professional Studies Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: Open

Applicants must be a permanent resident of the U.S., identify as a female, be over the age of 30 and be enrolled in a continuing education professional studies program. A 300 to 500 word essay is required on one of three provided topics.
