E. Wayne Kay Community College Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a degree program in manufacturing or a closely related field with less than 60 college credit hours completed at a two year community college or trade school in the United States or Canada. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.

 

SME Director's Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a manufacturing or related degree program in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have completed a minimum of 30 college credit hours and be seeking a career in manufacturing. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate leadership skills in a community, academic, or professional environment. A minimum 3.5 GPA is required.

 

Giuliano Mazzetti Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a degree program in manufacturing engineering, technology, or a closely related field in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have completed a minimum of 30 college credit hours, and be seeking a career in manufacturing engineering or technology.

 

Raymond Priestly Scholarship

Award: $2,300, Deadline: February 28

Applicant must be a Canadian graduate of the University of Toronto with an interest in and capacity for research. Award is in British currency.

InterAmerican Music Awards (IAMA)

Award: $2,500, Deadline: September 1

Applicant must be a composer from North, Central, or South America and must submit a composition. Winning composition will be premiered at the national convention, and published by C.F. Peters Corp.

 

Alexander Rutherford Scholarships for High School Achievement

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a senior in an Alberta high school and have a minimum grade average of 80.0 in five designated subjects in grades 10, 11 and 12. Applicant must be an Alberta resident who plans to enroll or is enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program of a minimum of one semester in length.

 

Rutherford Scholars

Award: $2,500, Deadline: August 1

Applicant must have a minimum Diploma Examination score of 30 in English or French, Social Studies, and three other subjects. Award is in addition to the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship.

Adult High School Equivalency Scholarships

Award: $500, Deadline: September 1

Applicants must be residents of Alberta, have been out of high school for a minimum of three years prior to commencing a high school equivalency program, and be enrolled full-time in a high school equivalency program.

Applicant must have completed a minimum of one year of an undergraduate program in Alberta and are continuing in the same program. Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

 

Art Scholarship Graduate Level

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an Alberta resident and be enrolled full time in a graduate program studying drama, dance, literary art, music, or the visual arts.

 

Government of Alberta Graduate Scholarship

Award: $9,300, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a Canada citizen or permanent resident and is pursuing graduate study at an Alberta post-secondary institution.

 

Graduate Student Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a second-year masters student, must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident attending a post-secondary institution in Alberta.

 

Michael Luchkovich Scholarship for Career Development

Award: $2,000, Deadline: December 1; April 1; August 1

Applicant must demonstrate outstanding ability in their work, are pursuing short-term, full-time study of less than six months, or part-time study. Applicants must have worked in Alberta for a minimum of three years.

 

Canada's University Scholarship-Francophone High School

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, with a minimum 84% average, must have a diploma from a francophone high school, and must have studied French.

 

CFUW/A. Vibert Douglas International Fellowship

Award: $12,000, Deadline: November 1 (CFUW); October 1 (IFUW)

Applicant must be a member of IFUW or a member of an IFUW National Affiliate to be eligible to apply. Fellowship may be used for research, study, or training in any country. It is awarded to encourage and enable women graduates to undertake advanced scholarship and original research.

 

Prairie Baseball Academy Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: October 15

Applicants must be Alberta residents and enrolled full time at a post-secondary institution in Alberta. Applicants must be a participant in the Prairie Baseball Academy and must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

 

Theodore R. Campbell Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicants must be Alberta residents and have completed the first year of an education degree (university transfer) at Blue Quills First Nations College.

 

Alberta Berley Commission - Eugene Boyko Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: August 1

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant attending an Alberta post-secondary institution as per Alberta Scholarship Programs regulations. Applicant must be enrolled in the second or subsequent year of post-secondary study and taking courses with an emphasis on crop production and/or crop processing technology.

 

Dr. Robert and Anna Shaw Scholarships

Award: $500, Deadline: June 1

Applicants must be Alberta residents and plan to enroll full time in a post-secondary program related to agriculture, engineering/trades or fine arts. Applicants must have completed Grade 12 at Sexsmith Secondary School.

 

Dr. Ernest and Minnie Mehl Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicants must be a Canadian citizens or landed immigrants who has completed grade 12 in Alberta at a school that follows the Alberta Education Curriculum. Applicant must be continuing their studies at a degree granting post-secondary institution in Canada. University transfer programs are acceptable.

 

Helen Tronvold Norwegian Folk High School Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be the current member of the Sons of Noway, or be the child or grandchild of a current member. Applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 23 and must have completed high school in the United States and have been accepted by a specific Norwegian Folk High School. Selection is based upon statement of cross-cultural education goals, academic potential, letters of recommendation, essay, involvement in Sons of Norway or community activities, and financial need.

 

ARIT Fellowships

Award: $16,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student engaged in research on ancient, medieval, or modern times in Turkey, in any field of the humanities and social sciences. Program offers the equivalent of one full academic year of study in Turkish at the college level.

 

GeoEye Award

Applicant must use award to pursue research in remote sensing education and development of applications of high-resolution digital satellite.

 

Robert N. Colwell Memorial Fellowship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must be a graduate or post-doctoral researcher, pursuing remote sensing or other related geospatial information technologies.

 

Freshman Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: September 16

Applicant must be a high school student who has graduated from a Canadian, Bermudian, or United States high school with a minimum 3.25 GPA and academic achievement.

 

Canadian Students Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: September 16

Applicant must be a Canadian student whose primary residence and major source of income is in Canada. Applicant must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits each semester and maintain a minimum 2.2 cumulative GPA.

 

Transfer Scholarship

Award: $11,000, Deadline: February 15 (Priority)

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a full-time transfer student.

 

Canadian Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must come from Canada and not qualify for federal or state aid.
