Scholarships in Engineering

ACEC Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in an engineering or land surveying ABET approved curriculum with standing as a junior, senior, fifth year, or graduate student. Applicant must be in good academic standing and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon work experience, extracurricular activities, and recommendation from a professor or consulting engineer or land surveyor.

 

Paul W. Ruckes Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be blind or visually impaired, be a U.S. citizen, and submit three letters of recommendation and a statement of educational and personal goals, work experience, extracurricular activities, and how the money will be used.

 

Ted S. and Cuba Webb Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must have high SAT Reasoning or ACT scores. Preference given to applicant who has graduated from an accredited high school in the greater Forth Worth and/or Tarrant County, Texas, or adjacent geographical area.

 

Dr. Robert H. Goodard Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: December 7

Applicant must be at least in their junior year at an accredited university who has the intention of pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in science or engineering during the interval of the scholarship.

 

Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: December

Selection is based upon math and lab science tests. Finalists will be invited to interview.

 

ASGC Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon essay, letters of recommendation, resume, standardized test scores, and transcript.

 

University of Detroit Mercy/College of Engineering & Science/SAE Engineering Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: None

Selection is based on academic and leadership achievements.

 

Boise State University/Brown/SAE Engineering Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must have minimum scores of 1200 SAT or 28 ACT and a high school class rank in the top 10%. Applicant must enroll full-time in an engineering program.

 

Southern Methodist University/SAE Engineering Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: December 1

 

Technology Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 15

 

Undergraduate Awards Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a member of a SAMPE student chapter.

 

Hainlen Las Animas Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of Las Animas County, (CO) high schools with financial need.

 

Schuman Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and must demonstrate financial need.

 

Shoe-Smith Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a resident of Denver, Colo. Applicant must graduate in top third of secondary school class, enroll in the College of Engineering or the College of Arts and Science, and demonstrate financial eligibility.

 

Engineering Freshman Merit Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Selection is based upon high school academic performance as reflected in GPA, class rank, and standardized test scores.

 

Kenneth and Mildred Ward Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident and a graduate of Clay County High School. Selection is based upon academic excellence with preference given to students with financial need who are attending a West Virginia college or university.

 

ISPE Advantage Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must have a minimum "B" average in accredited engineering courses and show evidence of financial need. Applicant must be child of a member in good standing of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers.

 

ISPE Foundation Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must have a minimum "B" average in accredited engineering courses and show evidence of financial need.

 

Maine Metal Products Association Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a resident of Maine who is attending a Maine school of higher education with an outstanding record and the overall potential to attend an institution of higher learning, majoring in machine trades or related metal working areas.

 

MSPE Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: First Monday in January

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a Michigan resident, be accepted at an ABET-accredited Michigan college, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 26, and demonstrate intent to enter the engineering field after graduation. MSPE Insurance Trust Scholarship

MSPE Kenneth B. Fishbeck, PE, Memorial Scholarship
