Praxair International Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a United States or Canadian citizen who is at least 18 years old and enrolled as a full-time student in the United States or Canada. Applicant must be majoring in a field of welding engineering and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection based upon leadership abilities.

 

William B. Howell Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a full-time student who is majoring in welding. A minimum 2.5 GPA and financial need are required. Preference is given to applicants from Florida, Michigan, and Ohio.

 

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be majoring in welding engineering and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Howard E. and Wilma J. Adkins Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA in engineering (2.8 overall), be at least 18 years old, and be a U.S. citizen. Preference is given to applicants residing or attending school in Wisconsin or Kentucky.

 

Graduate Fellowship

Award: $25,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be enrolled in a welding-related course of study and submit a proposal.

 

Donald F. Hastings Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is at least 18 years old and attending an institution in the United States in a welding engineering discipline. Minimum 2.5 GPA and financial need required. Preference given to applicants residing or attending school in Ohio or California.

 

Arsham Amirikian Engineering Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a college student enrolled in a civil engineering or welding discipline at a United States institution. Minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need are required.

 

John C. Lincoln Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is at least 18 years old and attending a United States institution in a welding discipline. Minimum 2.5 GPA, proof of financial aid, two letters of reference, biography, and transcript required. Preference given to applicants residing or attending school in Arizona or Ohio.

 

William A. & Ann M. Brothers Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Priority for Ohio students. Financial need required.

 

Donald and Shirley Hastings Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be majoring in a welding engineering discipline and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference given to applicants residing or attending school in Iowa, Ohio, or California. Financial need required.

 

Edward J. Brady Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is at least 18 years old and attending an institution in the United States in a welding engineering discipline. Minimum 2.5 GPA, financial need, and letter of reference required.

 

Matsuo Bridge Company of Japan Grant

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant be majoring in civil engineering or welding with a minimum 3.0 GPA. A valid United States passport is required.

 

Past Presidents Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must fit one of the two following categories: have a bachelor's degree in welding engineering, welding engineering technology, or an engineering program with an emphasis on welding; or be a graduate student pursuing master's or doctorate in engineering or management.

 

Airgas - Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a United States or Canadian citizen who is enrolled in a welding engineering discipline with a minimum 2.8 GPA.

 

Airgas-Jerry Baker Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be enrolled in a welding engineering program with a minimum 3.0 engineering GPA (2.8 GPA overall). Financial need and essay are required.

 

Jack R. Barckhoff Welding Management Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a college junior who is majoring in welding engineering at Ohio State University. Minimum 2.5 GPA and 300 to 500 word essay are required.

 

RWMA Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a college junior with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who has taken a course in resistance welding.

 

Robert L. Peaslee-Detroit Brazing and Soldering Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a college junior or senior majoring in welding or materials joining.

 

District Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a high school graduate or possess a GED and be enrolled in a welding-related educational or training program. Financial aid statement, transcript, personal statement, biography, and photo are required to be submitted.

 

Miller Electric International Youth Skill Competition Scholarship

Award: $40,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be the representative of the U.S. and successfully complete the international welding competition.

 

Maine Metal Products Association Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a resident of Maine who is attending a Maine school of higher education with an outstanding record and the overall potential to attend an institution of higher learning, majoring in machine trades or related metal working areas.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Technical Scholarship

Applicant must complete an ACT Work keys Assessment and interview.

 

Ernest Lopez, Sr. & Betty Lopez Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA who is actively pursuing a welding degree, and is a graduate from a college-district high school within the previous two years.

 

CountryMark Technical Trade Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior who is a resident of Posey County, Indiana and plans to pursue a degree in computer technology, electrical maintenance, electronics, mechanical maintenance, or welding at the Evansville campus of either Ivy Tech Community College or ITT Technical Institute. Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA required.

 

Posey County Co-op Scholarship

Award: $1,470, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior residing in Posey County, Indiana, who plans to pursue post-secondary education in agriculture, computer technology, electrical maintenance, electronics, mechanical maintenance, or welding at an accredited institution. Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA required.

 

Byron Lee Anderson Mechanics and Welding Technology Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior or past graduate of Bertrand High School who will enroll full-time in a program leading to a degree or certification in mechanics or welding.
