Maine Difference Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 30

Applicant must be a Maine resident attending a Maine college or university. Applicant's studies must focus on the ecology and economics of Maine.

 

Wildlife Research Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: October 1

Applicant must have a minimum GRE score of 1100 and 3.0 GPA in the last two years of undergraduate or graduate work.

 

Huyck Research Grant

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be undertaking research on the Edmund Niles Huyck Preserve and the surrounding region. Applicants must submit a research proposal. Write for an application package.

 

Summer Naturalist Internship

Applicant must have an educational background in the natural sciences, environmental education, or related field, who is interested and enthusiastic about environmental education. First Aid and CPR certification required.

 

Katherine Tobey Scholarship

Applicant must be a human ecology major.

 

Mabel Mayforth Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be Vermont residents who are college juniors, seniors or graduate students and must major horticulture, landscape, design, conservation, forestry, agronomy, plant pathology or biology with a special interest in plants, ecology and allied subjects. They must be full-time students at an accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Previous winners may reapply.

 

Theodore Gordon Flyfishers Inc. Founders Fund Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, undergraduate students with senior standing enrolled full-time or graduate students enrolled full-time. Students must major in an area of environmental studies such as, but not limited to, ecology, hydrology, conservation biology, natural resource management, zoology or environmental law and policy. A list of member institutions is online. Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA in environmental conservation coursework and a minimum 3.0 overall.

 

Dennis Raveling Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: October 31

Applicant must be pursuing an advanced degree in wildlife, zoology, botany, ecology or other biological science that are related to wetlands ecology. Selection is based on dedication to wetland preservation, high academic achievement and the merit of the project submitted.
