Earl Hvidsten Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a graduate of Stephen High School in Minnesota.

 

Minn-Dak Growers Association Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a junior who is a resident of Minnesota or North Dakota who is majoring in agriculture. Financial need is required.

 

Harris A. Peterson Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a sophomore, junior, or senior student who is a resident of North Dakota or Minnesota and is majoring in agriculture.

 

American Indian Education (Salt Lands) Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a Minnesota resident who is of Native American descent. Proof of Native American descent is required.

 

Marshall County Crop Improvement Association Scholarship

Award: $200, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a resident of Marshall County who graduated in the top half of their secondary school class and is now a full-time student enrolled in a program with emphasis in agronomy. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Carl & Lorraine Hord Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a student from a high school in Kittson County who is pursuing a degree in agriculture. Selection based upon academic accomplishments and leadership potential. High school rank, GPA, and ACT scores will also be considered.

 

East Polk County Fair Board Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be an incoming student from Polk County; preference will be given to students from the 16 townships of East Polk County. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

F. T. Bear Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be an incoming freshman or returning second year student who is from Hallock, Lancaster, or Stephen-Argyle, MN; or Drayton, North Dakota area. Priority consideration will be given to students who demonstrate need.

 

Gerald Hoefer Memorial Scholarship

Award: $600, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a full-time student who is studying animal agriculture with a minimum 2.0 high school GPA. Preference given to first year students from the following counties: Kittson, Roseau, Lake of the Woods, Marshall, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake, Clearwater, Mahnomen, and Norman.

 

Provost Scholarship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: November 15 (Early Action admissions deadline)

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident with a minimum 3.75 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1400 (composite ACT score of 32).

 

Academic Council Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: November 15 (Early Action admissions deadline)

Applicant must be an out-of-state student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 27).

 

Academic Achievement Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: November 15 (Early Action admissions deadline)

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident with a minimum 2.0 GPA and minimum SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (composite ACT score of 25).

Applicant must be a resident of Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, or Wisconsin who is a current student at an accredited college, university, or technical school majoring in broadcasting, television, or electronic media. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who currently resides in Minnesota and is enrolled as an undergraduate student planning to study abroad for at least four weeks.

 

BLET Auxiliary Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicants must be the children of both a BLET Auxiliary and BLET member (living or deceased) and enrolled or accepted by an accredited university, college or institute of higher learning. If the applicant is a graduate student or returning to school as a sophomore, junior or senior, he or she must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based on academic record, leadership, character and personal achievement.

 

Minnesota State Grant

Award: $11,753, Deadline: Open

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are Minnesota residents. They must be high school graduates, GED recipients or at least 17 years old by the end of the academic year. They must be enrolled in a diploma, certificate or degree program for at least three credits at an eligible Minnesota school. Applicants who are in default of a federal or state SELF student loan are ineligible, as are those who owe the Office of Higher Education for the overpayment of a state grant. They cannot have earned a baccalaureate degree previously or be more than 30 days past due on child support payments. Selection is based on financial need.

 

Vincent L. Hawkinson Scholarship for Peace and Justice

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must advocate peace, reside in or attend school in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wisconsin and attend an interview in Minneapolis and the fall awards ceremony.
