Geographic Region Award

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be an entering freshman who is residing in Michigan counties outside of Macomb, Oakland, or Wayne who wish to live on campus. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Recipients of award are required to live in university housing for their first two years.

 

Emil Tyden Founders Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Barry County high school who will pursue a degree in engineering or product development. Minimum 3.5 GPA required.

 

Ethel Denton Groos Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a resident of Barry County who will pursue a four-year degree in fine arts.

 

GFWC-Women's Club Non-Traditional Nursing Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a female resident of Barry County who will attend an accredited LPN or RN nursing program. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Jane E. Williston Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a resident of Barry County who will pursue an RN degree.

 

Marshall Seger Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a resident of Barry County.

 

Thornapple Garden Club "Walk Gently on this Good Earth" Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a resident of Barry County who will pursue a two- or four-year degree in agricultural science, conservation, floriculture, horticulture, landscape design, or a related field. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Barry County Substance Abuse Task Force Youth Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Barry County.

 

Hastings Business and Professional Women - Women Helping Women Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a Barry County resident 21 years of age or older who is returning to the workplace, changing careers, or entering the workforce for the first time.

 

Women's Club Nontraditional Nursing Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a female resident of Barry County who was accepted to an accredited LPN or RN program and will work part-time while attending. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Mom's Scholarship in Memory of Virginia Hoover Harrison Root

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a resident of Barry County who is a mother providing more than half of the financial support for her family and pursuing an undergraduate degree or vocational certificate.

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Thornapple Kellogg high school who will pursue a degree in computer science. Financial need and minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Alecia Lorraine Holst Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Thornapple Kellogg high school who will pursue a degree in the medical field. Financial need and minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Beth Helrigel Wester Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Thornapple Kellogg high school who will pursue a major or minor in art or music. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

David and Barbara Dykstra Family Scholarship
