Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship Program

Award: $7,000, Deadline: February 28

Applicants must be honorably-discharged veterans, spouses of disabled veterans who have graduated high school (or obtained a GED) and who have served in the U.S. military. Students must have at least a 2.5 GPA and plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational school the following fall. Award will increase with renewal to encourage completion of program.

Applicants must be high school seniors, college undergrads or graduate level students or those planning on enrolling within one year. Selection is based on a random drawing.

 

The Grimes Logistics & Supply Chain Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a U.S. college, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and be majoring in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering or related degree program.

 

Cherokee Nation Registered Nursing Scholarship

Applicants must be citizens of the Cherokee Nation and must be residents of the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional area. They must be full-time students who are enrolled in a registered nurse (RN) degree program. They must sign an agreement to work for a Cherokee Nation Health Facility for two years after graduation. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Thurgood Marshall College Scholarship Fund

Award: $3,100, Deadline: Varies

Applicants must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll as full-time students at one of the 47 TMSF member schools and have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence and community service and show financial need. Winners need to maintain a 3.0 GPA for the duration of the scholarship. Applicants must submit a head shot photograph, letters of recommendation, essay, and resume.

 

Presidents Scholarship of the Institute of Industrial Engineers

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 15

Applicants must be active student members of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE). They must be full-time undergraduates enrolled in an industrial engineering degree program and have a GPA of 3.4 or higher on a four-point scale. They must have demonstrated leadership skills. Applicants must be nominated by their academic department heads. Selection is based on professional leadership potential, character, financial need and academic merit.

 

Eric Marder Scholarship Program of The Immune Deficiency Foundation

Applicant must have been admitted or must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student. Applicants must also have demonstrated financial need and a record of community involvement.

 

Lighthouse Guild Scholarships

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicants must be legally blind. Visual requirements include a best corrected visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye and/or a visual field of less than 20 degrees in the better eye and be in one of three categories: college-bound high school student, undergraduate college student or graduate student. They must also be U.S. citizens and residents and attend an accredited college or university in the U.S. or its territories. Selection is based on academic and personal achievements.

 

State Need-based Grants

Applicants must be obtaining their first baccalaureate or professional degree, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be residents of South Carolina. Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be enrolled in their first one-year program, first associate's degree, first program leading to a baccalaureate degree, first baccalaureate degree or first professional degree to be eligible.

 

Southern Scholarship Foundation Scholarship

Applicants must have financial need, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate high character and attend or plan to attend Florida A&M University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida State University, the University of Florida, Tallahassee Community College or Santa Fe Community College.

 

Charles R. Hemenway Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must demonstrate financial need, be Hawaii residents and have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Applicants must also be enrolled at least half-time at any of the campuses of the University of Hawaii. Selection is based on character and "qualities of good citizenship."

 

Maine State Society Foundation Scholarship

Applicants or their parent must have been born in or have been a legal resident of the state of Maine for at least four years. Applicants must be full-time students who are at least sophomores and must attend an accredited, non-profit college or university located in Maine.

 

NACA Mid Atlantic Undergraduate Scholarship for Student Leaders

Students must hold a significant campus leadership position, demonstrate significant leadership skills and abilities and make significant contributions through on- or off-campus volunteering. Students must attend school in Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, eastern Pennsylvania or Washington, DC.

Applicants must be a female living in Hawaii (your only residence is here) or stationed in Hawaii with the military. Applicants must also be a college graduate (associate degree or higher) or currently enrolled in a college or university in Hawaii. Women from out of state attending a college in Hawaii are eligible. Melvin R. Green Scholarships

Applicants must have outstanding character and integrity, be ASME student members, be enrolled in an eligible accredited mechanical engineering baccalaureate program, be college sophomores, juniors, seniors or graduate students and have strong academic performance. Selection is based on scholastic ability, leadership, financial need and potential contribution to mechanical engineering profession.

 

Alice T. Schafer Mathematics Prize

Nominees must be female college undergraduates and either be U.S. citizens or have a school address in the U.S. Selection is based on performance in advanced mathematics courses and special programs, interest in mathematics, ability to conduct independent work and performance in mathematical competitions at the local or national level.

Landscape Forms Design for People Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled in a landscape architecture degree program at a school that has been accredited by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB). They must be in the final year of their degree program. Selection is based on academic merit and creativity.

 

Family District 1 Scholarships

Applicants must be graduating seniors, high school graduates or current undergraduate or graduate students who plan to attend a college or university full-time during the calendar year of application. They must be residents of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee or Florida.

 

Little People of America Scholarships

Applicants may be junior high, high school or college students who have been involved with Little People of America. Preference is given in the following order: LPA members with medically diagnosed dwarfism, immediate family members of LPA members diagnosed with dwarfism and non-LPA members with dwarfism.

 

Tuition Giveaway

Award: $100,000, Deadline: October 17

Applicants must be U.S. residents age 18 and older. Applicants between the ages of 18 and 24 must get votes in order to submit a video and are eligible for up to $100,000 in tuition.

 

Charles McDaniel Teacher Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicants must be full-time juniors or seniors at a public Georgia college or university. They must be admitted to their school's college or department of education and have a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Applicants must be legal residents of Georgia, have graduated from a Georgia high school, be U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens, be in compliance with Selective Service requirements and not be in default on student financial aid. Eligible colleges and universities can nominate one student each year.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited nursing school and be in good academic standing. They must have volunteered with a Red Cross unit at least once within the past five years and have completed at least one academic year of college at the time of application. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Tese Caldarelli Memorial Scholarship

Students must hold a significant campus leadership position and demonstrate significant leadership skills and abilities. Students must also be making significant contributions through on- or off-campus volunteering. Applicants must also be current undergraduate or graduate students in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, western Pennsylvania or West Virginia and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Benjamin J. Keiser Memorial Coastal Engineering Scholarship

Applicants must be in high school through graduate level studies, have at least a 3.2 GPA, be a U.S. citizen and be pursuing or plan on pursuing a degree in coastal engineering. Selection is based on goals, community service and involvement and academic excellence.

 

HSF/Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) Scholarship Program

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 30

Applicants must be of Latino descent and be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. They must be enrolled full-time at an accredited postsecondary institution located in the U.S. or Puerto Rico. They must be entering a master's degree program or be rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors. Applicants must be majoring in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, hospitality management, human resources management, international relations, information technology (IT/MIS), management (including supply chain and information systems) or marketing and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a four-point scale. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

GCSAA Scholars Competition

Applicants must be GCSAA members who are undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited degree program in turf management or a closely related subject. They must have completed at least 24 semester credits or one year of full-time study in their degree program. Selection is based on academic excellence, career potential, recommendations, work history and extracurricular activities.

 

Bruce Lee Foundation Scholarship Program

Award: $10,000, Deadline: June 9

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and be attending or planning to attend a two-year or four-year college or university or trade/vocational school within the United States. Applicants must also hold a passion for education and value the characteristics exemplified by Bruce Lee. Students may be interviewed by phone if chosen as final contenders. Selection is based upon the overall strength of the application.

 

Old Guard Oral Presentation Competition

Applicants must be certified as ASME student members in good standing. They must be undergraduate engineering students who have been chosen by their student section or academic department head to participate. Applicants must do a 20-minute oral presentation on a relevant engineering topic. Selection is based on presentation content, organization, delivery, effectiveness and discussion.
