Irlet Anderson Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior interested in pursuing a career in crimial justice or law enforcement.

 

ACJA/LAE National Student Paper Competition

Award: $150, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a member of ACJA/LAE in good standing. Original paper dealing with issues concerning the criminal justice field must be submitted.

 

ACJA/LAE National Scholarship

Award: $400, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a ACJA/LAE member in good standing who is currently enrolled in a recognized course of study directly (or indirectly) associated with the criminal justice field.

 

M. Brenn Green Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a first-time freshman who is majoring in one of the following areas: anthropology, criminal justice, economics, geography, health administration, political science, social psychology, social work, or sociology.

 

Ritchie-Sennings Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student (enrolled in at least 12 semester hours, or equivalent per term) at an accredited four-year college or university pursing a declared major in either accounting, business and finance, or criminal science. Junior college, community college, and high school students including graduating seniors are not eligible to apply. Application, official transcript, three letters of recommendation (including one from a Certified Fraud Examiner or local Association chapter), original essay explaining why applicant deserves the scholarship, and how fraud awareness will affect his or her professional career development, are required to be submitted.

 

George E. Meares Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 30

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen. The present emphasis is in probation and parole, and it may include related correctional services.

Thurgood Marshall Scholarship

Applicant must be pursuing a bachelors degree in criminal justice or a closely related criminal justice field.

 

Law Enforcement Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be a full-time student. Applicant must submit transcript and personal statement about intended career in policing.

 

Wade H. Stroud Scholarship

Award: $800, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be enrolled for at least nine credit hours. Applicant must submit transcript and personal statement about intended career goals.

 

North Carolina Sheriffs' Association Undergraduate Criminal Justice Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a North Carolina resident. Priority given first to children of a sheriff or deputy sheriff, then to children of any law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty, then to children of any sheriff or deputy sheriff who is deceased or retired, and then to criminal justice majors with high GPAs and financial need. Applicant must submit letter of recommendation from sheriff in his or her county of residence, transcript, and documentation of criteria.

 

Dean Reep Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a North Carolina resident who is planning a career in crime prevention, have high moral character and a minimum 3.4 GPA, and be a full-time senior who is graduating in May or graduate student. Applicant must submit transcript, two letters of reference from people who can attest to applicant's high moral character, and personal statement of goals.

 

John Rowden Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must major in criminal justice.

 

Division of Social and Behavioral Science Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 and be in the upper half of their graduating class. Two-page essay on major selection required.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Drinko Criminal Justice Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be majoring in criminal justice. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

Special Undergraduate Academic Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1500 (composite ACT score of 21).

 

Captain Jim Unterwagner Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must have 64 credits and be able to demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.

 

Career Scholarship

Applicant must plan a career in one of the fields of study offered at ESCC, and have at least a "B-" average in their high school grades, or have passed the GED tests. Current and past ESCC students must have completed at least 12 semester credit hours and have earned a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

ISF Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 21

Applicant must be Muslim or an active member of the Muslim community who is enrolled at an accredited university as an undergraduate (sophomore, junior, or senior) or graduate student (including Ph.D.) in the United States who is majoring in one of the sponsor's supported majors as found on their website. Minimum 3.0 GPA and United States citizenship/permanent residence required.

 

Public Management Graduate Intern

Award: $8,500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a graduate student enrolled in an eligible master's level program who has completed at least one semester or more of course work with a overall grade of "B" and one Quantitative Research Methods course.

 

AlliedBarton Security Services Scholarship

Award: $7,600, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be a first-time college student who resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and will enroll in the justice curriculum with a minimum of six credits per semester. Applicant must agree to a paid internship with AlliedBarton. Letter of recommendation, essay, and minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required.

 

Oregon Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be enrolling as a college senior or above at a four-year public or nonprofit college or university in Oregon pursuing a degree in accounting, business, criminal justice, finance, law, law enforcement, or risk management. Minimum 3.25 GPA required.

 

Bruce C. Bade Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a resident of Blackford County who plans to pursue post-secondary education in the fields of criminal justice, law, or a law-related field.

 

Jorden W. Nickols Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a Blackford County resident who participated in sports during high school and plans to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study in education, criminal justice, or a science-related field.

 

Greg Andres North Dearborn Conservation Club Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from East Central High School or Franklin County High School who will pursue a career as a conservation officer, law enforcement officer or a career in the medical field at an accredited vocational or two- or four-year institution of higher learning. Essay required.

 

Jed Moses Fulmer Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Edinburgh Community, Franklin Community, Indian Creek, or Whiteland Community High School who is planning to enroll full-time at an accredited two- or four-year college in pursuit of a degree in law enforcement. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

Anthony Gobar Juvenile Justice Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a full-time junior or senior at a public university in Mississippi or at Southern University in Louisiana majoring in criminal justice, political science, or counseling. Financial aid and strong commitment to community and public service must be demonstrated.

 

ALLCOPS Criminal Justice Professional Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Allegan County who will enroll full-time in a criminal justice program. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.
