Dean's Special Talent Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Selection is based upon talent and academic qualifications.

 

Edwin L. and Ruth Kennedy Distinguished Professor Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: None

Selection is based upon academic qualifications. Each Distinguished Professor personally selects recipient and determines specific major and academic program.

 

Endowed Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1 (freshman); March 15 (upperclass applicant)

Each scholarship has its own criteria, including parent's employment, organizational affiliation, financial need, religion, gender, academic qualifications, place of residence, or academic major.

 

Mary McLeod Bethune Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen who is a Florida resident and a full-time student. Applicant must not owe a repayment or be in default under any state or federal grant, loan, or scholarship program unless satisfactory arrangements to repay have been made. Financial need is required.

 

Rosewood Family Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a direct descendant of Rosewood families affected by the incidents of January 1923. Initial Student Florida Financial Aid Application is required for verification. Applicant must not owe a repayment or be in default under any state or federal grant, loan, or scholarship program unless satisfactory arrangements to repay have been made. FAFSA is required.

 

University Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 4

Applicant must be a Northridge undergraduate student who has completed at least 24 units, but no more than 96 cumulative undergraduate units. Applicant must attend a mandatory pre-application workshop. Minimum 3.25 GPA required.

 

The Medallion Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: December 4

Applicant must have a minimum 3.7 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 25 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1170). Recipient must attend the Medallion Competition in February.

 

Tuition Scholarship

Award: $3,116, Deadline: March 1 (Priority)

Freshman applicant must rank in the top tenth of class or have a minimum admission index score of 136, and demonstrate financial need. Upperclass and transfer applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

 

Transfer Scholarships

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 10

Applicant must have at least 24 transfer hours and a minimum 3.3 GPA.

 

Eastman Scholarship in Mathematics

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a Nebraska high school graduate.

 

Boston College Scholarship/Grant

Award: $500, Deadline: February 1

Selection is based upon financial need and GPA.

 

Army ROTC/Villanova Scholars Award

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 7

Applicant must be selected by the Army for an 80% tuition scholarship to receive the room and board scholarship from the university.

 

Air Force ROTC/Villanova Scholars Award

Award: $6,790, Deadline: January 7

Applicant must be receiving a level II AFROTC scholarship as designated by the Air Force.

 

ANS Delayed Education for Women Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a woman, must have experienced at least a one-year delay or interruption in undergraduate studies, be entering a four-year curriculum at a U.S. institution, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and have proven academic ability. Applicant must demonstrate financial need, and must be sponsored by an ANS local section, division, student branch, committee, member, or organization member.

 

NPPF Still Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have completed one year at a recognized four-year college or university having courses in photojournalism, and must be continuing in a program leading to a bachelor's degree. Applicant must have a minimum of one-half year of undergraduate schooling reamaining at time of award. Award is aimed at an applicant with journalism potential, but with little opportunity and great need.

 

Reid Blackburn Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a high school graduate, be pursuing a career in photojournalism, and be continuing in a program leading to a bachelor's degree. Applicant must have a minimum one-half year of undergraduate schooling remaining at time of award. Selection is based upon the philosophy and goals statement in the application.

 

Bob East Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate in the first 3-1/2 years of college or plan to pursue postgraduate work and provide proof of acceptance to the program. Applicant must submit a portfolio of at least five single images and a picture story. Recipient chosen primarily on quality of portfolio.

 

Roy T. Campbell Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1 (priority date)

Applicant must be a resident of Cocke County, Tenn. Financial need is considered and a minimum 2.5 overall GPA is required.

 

Civitan Shropshire Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a Civitan, the immediate relative of a Civitan, and must have been a Civitan or a Junior Civitan for at least two years. Selection is based upon career goals, applicant's academic record, and financial needs. Applicant must be enrolled full-time in a degree or certificate program.

 

Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be beginning or already enrolled in an approved degree-bearing program of study in New York State that leads to licensure in a particular profession. Purpose of award is to increase representation of minority and disadvantaged individuals in New York State licensed professions.

 

Army ROTC Scholarship

Award: $2,644, Deadline: April 1

Selection is competitive.

 

Air Force ROTC Scholarship

Award: $2,675, Deadline: April 1

Selection is based upon competition.

 

Temple Scholars Award

Award: $12,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be in the top fifth of secondary school class or have a minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum SAT Reasoning score of 1200 or ACT equivalent.

 

Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $9,999, Deadline: March 2

Selection is based upon academic merit and financial need.

 

Academic Scholars

Award: $5,500, Deadline: Mid-August

Applicant must be an Oklahoma resident at or above the 99.5 percentile on ACT or SAT, or be a resident or nonresident who is a National Merit scholar or finalist.

 

Entering Freshman Academic Excellence Award

Award: $4,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must meet the priority deadline, have a competitive ACT/SAT Reasoning score with an above average high school GPA, and be able to demonstrate excellent leadership in service and activities.

 

National Merit/Achievement Semifinalist and Finalist Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a National Merit Achievement semifinalist or finalist and have a minimum grade average of 90 (3.0 GPA).

 

Memorial Foundation Education Grant

Award: $6,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be the child of a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles or its Ladies Auxiliary who died from injuries or diseases incurred or aggravated in the line of duty while serving in the Armed Forces (U.S., Canada, Philippines, Mexico, United Kingdom), as a law enforcement officer, or as a full-time or volunteer firefighter or EMS officer. Applicant must attend college or vocational school, be unmarried, and be under 25 years of age.

 

Regents' Scholarship

Award: $9,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must meet at least one of the following qualifications: minimum GPA of 3.9, minimum composite ACT score of 31 (SAT I equivalent), class valedictorian, National Merit semifinalist, National Achievement scholar, National Hispanic scholar, extraordinary extracurricular activities.

 

UNM Scholars Scholarship

Award: $3,200, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.3 GPA and a minimum ACT score of 24.
