Focus on one of the following disciplines is required: civil and materials, electrical and computer, computer science, or mechanical engineering. Applicant must show evidence of above average academic performance (minimum GPA 3.0/4.0). Women of color (African American, Latina, Native American) are encouraged to apply. Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year institution and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must submit essay describing educational goals and interest in careers in the nuclear power industry. Applicant must list planned or desired summer employment, co-op assignments, or internships. Applications must be endorsed and sent by the applicant's school. Selection is based upon academic performance, eligible major, and potential for career in the nuclear power industry. Preference will be given to those students indicating specific interest in and preparation for careers in the U.S. nuclear power industy. Students with commitments/obligations that prevent availability for possible nuclear power industry employment immediately after graduation are not eligible.
