Recognition of Excellence Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a new transfer or continuing student with a minimum 3.5 GPA and at least 30 transferable credit hours.

 

Schillig-Baird and Presidential Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a National Merit finalist or have a minimum composite ACT score of 30 or combined SAT I score of 1310. Interview is required. Recipient must enroll in the Honors College.

 

Oregon Laurels Scholarship

Award: $2,175, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA. Preference is given to Oregon residents.

 

Nancy Ryles Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a woman returning to school after break in education due to family responsibilities. Selection is based upon financial need and potential for academic success.

 

McPherson Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a San Luis Valley, CO, resident with strong academic potential and financial need.

 

Beau Mitchell Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,300, Deadline: March 1

Applicant should preferably be a non-resident student who is a former member of the Boy Scouts of America with strong moral character and an orientation toward the outdoors. Financial need required.

 

Margery Monfort Wilson Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Colorado resident with financial need.

 

Heisey Foundation Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must demonstrate financial need and have graduated from one of 31 designated high schools in Montana.

 

Chamberlain Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a woman, who is a full-time student, a resident of Montana, and is able to demonstrate financial need.

 

Katharine L. Morningstar Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a Montana resident and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference to Madison County, MT high school graduates.

 

Dean's Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 15 (financial aid deadline)

Applicant is selected by the dean of each school and college within the university on the basis of outstanding academic performance and potential. Award is for applicants who demonstrate low or no calculated financial need.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: January 1 (all application materials)

Selection is based upon exceptionally strong high school academic record.

 

Cal Grant A

Award: $9,708, Deadline: March 2

Applicant must be a California resident attending a California educational institution, demonstrate financial need, and have satisfactory academic qualifications. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Cal Grant B

Award: $9,708, Deadline: March 2

Applicant must be a California resident attending a California educational institution. Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Selection is based upon financial need and academic qualifications; disadvantaged background increases likelihood of receiving award.

 

Cal Grant C

Award: $2,592, Deadline: March 2

Applicant must be a California resident pursuing a vocationally-oriented course of study at a two-year community college, two-year program within a college, or vocational school in California. Selection is based upon financial need, academic qualifications, and aptitude, interest, and experience in chosen vocational field.

 

General Leadership Grant

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 15; varies

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a full-time student, and a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

 

Eileen Phillips Cohen Music Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Selection is based upon audition, musical talent, and good citizenship. Financial need may be considered.

 

Clara B. Small Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a nontraditional student with a minimum 3.5 GPA who is enrolled at least half-time in the School of Arts and Sciences or the School of Education. One award is for an English major.

 

Merit Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 15

Selection is based upon GPA; the value varies from one faculty to another. Scholarship is awarded by the faculty at the time of re-enrollment in an undergraduate program. Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

 

Support Staff Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 14

Applicant must be a bilingual student who has demonstrated academic excellence and community and university involvement. Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

 

Arcade Guindon Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be Canadian or a permanent resident. Selection is based upon academic excellence, involvement in community and university life, and understanding of bilingualism and biculturalism.

 

Loretta M. Antl Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

 

Mason Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have financial need and a good academic record. Ohio residents are preferred; Masonic affiliation not required.

 

Cloisters Summer Internship for College Students

Award: $3,250, Deadline: Early February

Preference is given to first- and second-year students. Award includes intensive training in museum teaching techniques. Recipient will conduct gallery workshops for groups of New York City day campers in the Cloisters (a medieval European branch museum).

 

Alumni Board Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant should have a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA, show a strong desire to succeed, and demonstrate a diverse background in school and community activities. Financial need is considered.

 

Patrick L. Monahan Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 5

Applicant must demonstrate promise of significant professional contributions.

 

U.S. Bank Minority Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 8

Applicant must be a declared major in a College of Business and Economics program, have a permanent residence in a community served by U.S. Bank, and demonstrate strong academic merit and potential. Applicant must be an African-American, Native American, Hispanic-American, or Asian/Pacific Islander.

 

Knapman Chemistry Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 5

Applicant must have completed or be currently enrolled in Chemistry 353. Selection is based upon superior talent and achievement in chemistry or biochemistry.

 

Delta Gamma Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of Delta Gamma fraternity.

Applicant must be a California resident who is planning to attend a California public community college or university, and who is the child of a veteran who has a service-connected disability or who died a service-related death. Annual income, including support from parents, cannot exceed $8,480.
