St. Joseph Hospital Scholarship

Award: $6,250, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must meet all regular admissions requirements and plan to major in nursing. Minimum 3.25 high school GPA, minimum composite ACT score of 22, and financial need required.

 

Beverly Rinaldi Fletcher Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must meet all regular admissions requirements and plan to major in nursing. Minimum 2.75 high school GPA required.

 

IV Murphree Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a transfer student who meets all regular admissions requirements and who plans to major in nursing. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on all college work attempted and financial need are required.

 

Elizabeth Farnell Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a junior or senior who is majoring in nursing and enrolled in clinical courses. Minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA and financial need required.

 

Beverly Jordan Nursing Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a senior who is majoring in nursing and enrolled in clinical courses. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA and be able to demonstrate financial need. Recommendation letter from a clinical instructor or preceptor and essay telling the story of your impact on a patient and family centered care experience required.

 

Carol Paterson Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a senior majoring in nursing who is enrolled in clinical courses. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Denese Shumaker Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a junior or senior who is majoring in nursing and who is enrolled in clinical courses. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Lula Curtis Scott Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a nursing major. Minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA required.

 

Stephanie Martin Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be majoring in nursing. Financial need required.

 

AfterCollege/AACN Student Scholarship Fund

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 31; June 30; September 30; December 31

Applicant must be currently seeking a bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree as a full-time student at an AACN member institution in the field of nursing. Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator; students completing an R.N.-to-B.S.N or R.N.-to-M.S.N. program; and those enrolled in an accelerated program. Minimum 3.0 GPA, online application, and brief essay (250 word maximum) on goals and aspirations as they relate to education, career, and future plans required.

 

Minority Nurse Scholarship Program

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be enrolled in either the third or fourth year of an accredited B.S.N. program in the United States, an accelerated program leading to a B.S.N. degree (such as R.N.-to-B.S.N. or B.A.-to-B.S.N.), or accelerated master's entry program in nursing for students with bachelor's degrees in fields other than nursing (such as B.A.-to-M.S.N.). Applicant must be racial or an ethnic minority with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Graduate students who already have a bachelor's degree in nursing are not eligible.

 

Senior Care Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a student enrolled in an associate, bachelor's, or graduate-level degree program in the fields of gerontology, long-term care administration, medicine, nursing, or sociology at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Letter of introduction and 500-word essay on selected topic required. Selection based upon the most compelling essay as judge by an outside panel of senior living professionals.

 

Lucy Murray Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $250, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a high school senior in Glenwood City or Elmwood who plans to pursue a nursing career or other advanced medical career.

 

Judy Bender Scholarship for Nursing

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a non-traditional student enrolled in a nursing program at Fox Valley Technical College who is currently taking core nursing classes.

 

Nursing Program Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: October 31; April 30

Applicant must be currently enrolled or enrolling in the next six months in an undergraduate or certificate level nursing education program. Applicants participating in transitional programs such as R.N. to B.S.N. or L.P.N. to B.S.N. or those enrolling or currently enrolled in nursing programs offered by online schools qualify; master's and doctorate level students do not qualify. A 500 to 800 word essay required.

 

Lemanski Family Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student from Chicopee, MA, who is majoring in government, public health, nursing, education, or political science. Scholarship, need, and public service may be considered. FAFSA required.

 

Linda Peters Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a junior undergraduate student enrolled in the School of Nursing. Selection based on essay, academic merit, and financial need.

 

Nancy S. Anton Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student who is completing their junior year in the School of Nursing. Essay and interview with members of the Anton family required.

 

Clark County Medical Society Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a full-time entering freshman or continuing sophomore or junior majored in nursing. Applicant must be a resident of Clark County, NV. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Honey Lake Hospice Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must have successfully completed their first semester of college with a minimum 2.5 GPA and will be continuing their education in the field of nursing, medicine, or related health care field at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. The applicant should have an interest in gerontology, oncology and/or hospice and palliative care and be able to express that interest in an essay.

 

Nursing Education Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 29

Applicant must have been accepted to or is currently attending a full-time medicine-related program. Minimum 3.0 GPA and essay on the following topic required: what you hope to accomplish in the medical field and how you will impact the lives of others with the education and knowledge you acquire while in medical training.

 

Nurse I Am Scholarship Information

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited LVN/LPN, RN degree (ADN or BSN), diploma, or RN-to-BSN program, and must begin/have begun classes no later than January 31. Essay required.

 

Choi, Gehwan Scholarship

Applicant must be Korean-American and be enrolled as a full time student studying medicine. Selection is based upon financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service.

 

Ryun Ho Kim Scholarship

Dr. Sidney Davidson Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Palm Beach or Martin County, FL high school who will major in nursing at Palm Beach State College. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

The Gratitude Fund

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a resident of Palm Beach, Martin, or St. Lucie County, FL majoring in nursing at a college or university in Florida. Financial need and minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Professional Diversity Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an incoming, full-time freshman or transfer student who is a U.S. citizen with a diverse ethnic or racial background. Minimum 2.75 GPA and financial need are required. Preference will be given to applicants declaring a nursing, education, social work, or dietetics major upon registering at the university.

 

David H. and Betty R. Bucher Nursing Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 3

Applicant must be a graduating senior of any Henderson County public, private, or parochial high school who has been accepted to an accredited degree-granting college or university and is actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of nursing. Involvement in extracurricular and community service activities are required.

 

Maggie Trimble Cook Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 3

Applicant must be a female graduate or any Henderson County high school who is preparing for a career in nursing, home economics, or math. Minimum 2.0 GPA and financial need are required.
