Applicant must be a graduating senior or a graduate or a public or private high school in Henderson County who is currently pursuing or plans to pursue a degree to become a registered nurse. Minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need are required.

 

Carol Ann Beerstecher Nursing Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a resident of Chatham, Durham, Orange, Wake, or Pearson County, NC, who is a current nursing student at a public institution or have been admitted to a nursing program at a public institution in North Carolina offering an associate or baccalaureate degree in nursing. Minimum 2.0 GPA and financial need are required.

 

ACLS Medical Training Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior or college student. Preference will be given to those currently enrolled in a nationally accredited nursing school, medical school, pharmacy school, dental school, respiratory therapy program, paramedic program, or emergency medical technician program. Essay required.

 

NURSE Corps Scholarship Program

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in a professional nursing degree program who will commit two years at a critical shortage facility upon graduating. Must be free from existing service commitments and not delinquent on a federal debt.

Applicant must be pursuing a Nursing and Medical Assisting associate's degree full-time. Selection based on academic history, extracurricular activities, and employment history.

 

Healthcare Career Scholarship

Applicant must be a student currently enrolled in one of the following healthcare programs: cardiac ultrasound, health information management, medical technology, nursing, pharmacy, or rehabilitation services. Minimum 3.0 GPA and 500 word essay required on this topic: "Why did you choose your career path, what have you done to support it, and how would it benefit FHN's service area?" Finalists are required to participate in an interview.

 

Pauline Noller Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be a student entering or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program. Minimum 3.0 GPA and 500 word essay required on this topic: "Why did you choose your career path and what have you done to support it?" Finalists required to participate in an interview.

 

Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be entering or currently enrolled in a nursing program. Transcript, proof of enrollment, and essay between 500 and 700 words required on the topic: " What drives you and why you want to pursue a nursing degree or why you want to go to nursing school."

 

Josh Gottheil Memorial Bone Marrow Transplant Career Development Award

William K. Schubert Minority Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of one of the underrepresented groups in the registered nurse profession such as a male nurse or nursing students who are American Indian, Alaskan Native, Black or African American, Hawaiian Native or other Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino, and/or Asian. Must be enrolled or accepted into a professional RN program at an accredited school of nursing and seeking initial licensure in the state of Ohio. Minimum 2.75 GPA required.

 

Virginia Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be a nursing graduate student in Virginia. Priority given to master's degree candidates who will teach in community colleges.

Michigan Nursing Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: December 29

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a Michigan resident for one year prior to the beginning of their nursing program enrollment. Applicant must be enrolled at least half time in a nursing program at an approved Michigan community college, public university or independent, degree-granting college or university. Scholarship must be repaid if the work requirement or other program provisions are not met.

 

Anna M. Davison Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior of New Franklin High School in Missouri who is planning to pursue a nursing degree. Academic excellence and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be accepted into an accredited ADN or BSN RN program in California and in good academic standing. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Selection based on service to the LGBTQ community, leadership skills, hardship or special circumstances, and academic achievement.

 

Platinum Educational Group EMS, Nursing, and Allied Health Scholarship Program

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be attending a State approved or accredited EMS, Nursing, or Allied Health program. Student will need to provide a copy of student ID (if your program issues one), a copy of a State Identification Card (Ex. State ID or Driver's License), a Letter of Recommendation Form (form provided) and a brief essay (500 words maximum) on what interested you in your field and what your plans are after graduation. Recipients must provide a follow-up photo to Platinum Educational Group if chosen as scholarship awardee.

 

Annual NBNA Scholarships

Award: $6,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicants must be African Americans currently enrolled in a nursing program and be in good academic standing, be members of the NBNA, be members of a local chapter and have at least a full year of school remaining. Applicants must submit with their application an essay, references, an official transcript and evidence of participation in student nurse activities and involvement in the African American community.

 

Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 10

Applicants must demonstrate financial need and attend an accredited school of nursing. All applicants must obtain a letter of sponsorship from their local DAR chapter. However, no affiliation with DAR is necessary.
