Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellowship in Women's Studies

Award: $5,000, Deadline: October 15

Applicant must be writing a dissertation on a topic concerning women or on women's/children's health.

 

ALA Lung Health Research Dissertation Grant

Award: $21,000, Deadline: October 1

Applicant must be matriculating in a full-time doctoral program with an academic career focus. Preference is given to minority applicants and applicants interested in tobacco control research.

 

Irene E. Newman Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in an accredited dental program in the U.S., and complete the FAFSA or the Family Financial Service form of the ACT.

 

Herbert Kealoha & Doris Keppeler Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 5

Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii, be a full-time undergraduate, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.

 

Health Research Training Program

Award: -, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a New York City resident who is attending a metropolitan New York City school. The program offers internships in public health research, community outreach and education, fieldwork, laboratory work and administration to all college undergraduates, graduate, and professional school students.

 

Mary Ann Reinert Nursing Scholarship

Award: $300, Deadline: July 1

Selection is based upon description of career goals, volunteer and work experience, awards/honors, letters of recommendation, transcript, class rank, GPA, and financial need. Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an approved nursing or other health-related program and must be a resident in the Heartland Foundation service region.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Elizabeth and Sherman Asche Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: June 13

Applicant must be an American Indian and Alaskan Native student who is pursuing a degree in science or public health.

 

Orfalea Health Field Scholarship Award

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must be a Ventura County high school senior or graduate enrolling or already enrolled at an accredited vocational school, community college, or four-year university in a health-related field. Essay is required and it must specify intent to practice in Ventura County upon completion of studies.

 

Laurence R. Foster Memorial Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be pursuing a degree in public health at a four-year or nonprofit college or university at least half time. FAFSA required.

 

Lemanski Family Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student from Chicopee, MA, who is majoring in government, public health, nursing, education, or political science. Scholarship, need, and public service may be considered. FAFSA required.
