Applicant must be learning how to perform research for a thesis or project under the direction of a faculty member.

 

Francis Eppes Scholarship

Applicant must a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, be enrolled in the College of Engineering or Agriculture, be a resident of Hopewell, Va, demonstrate financial need and merit, and have recommendations from his or her high school or preparatory school principal and three or more prominent citizens of the community of Hopewell. Applicant should have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100 and must submit FAFSA.

 

Leonard A. Starling III Memorial Scholarship

Award: $700, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, be a graduate of Randolph High School (Charlotte Court House, Va.), and be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours per semester). Preference given to applicants enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Entering freshman and transfer applicants should have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100. Returning student applicant should have a minimum 3.0 Quality Credit Average (QCA). Applicant must submit FAFSA. Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular leadership, and good character.

 

Sam S. Kuwahara Memorial Scholarship for Entering Freshmen

Applicant must be a member of JACL. Selection is based upon personal statement, letters of recommendation, transcripts, work experience, and community involvement. Preference is given to applicants with an interest in agriculture or related fields.
