Ruth Binnie Fellowship

Applicant must be a woman who is a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant who is enrolled in a masters or doctoral studies program with a focus on one or more aspects of home economics. Study abroad students are also eligible to apply.

 

Canadian Home Economics Association (CHEA) Fellowship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a woman who is a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant and is attending a Canadian university. Applicant must be studying one or more aspects in the field of home economics at the masters or doctoral level.

 

Walter Reed Smith Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be a woman over the age of 30 who is a lineal descendant of worthy Confederates or collateral descendant who is a member of the Children of the Confederacy or the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in an accredited college or university, and carry a minimum of 12 hours each semester. Applicant must be prepared to pass entrance examination of prospective college or university. Applicant must submit proof of Confederate Military Record, line of descent from Confederate ancestor, a letter of endorsement from sponsoring Chapter, a letter of recommendation, complete financial report, official transcripts, an essay on the significance of a southern heritage, and a wallet-size photo. Original and four copies of the application forms and five copies of all documents, certificates, and letters must be submitted to the Division Director of Education. All inquiries must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

 

Dorothy Klindt Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an entering freshman student who live in Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine, or Scott Counties. Preference given to females from rural areas in Scott County, Iowa. Selection is based upon academic achievement and demonstrated involvement in community, school, and/or work activities.

 

C.J. Davidson Scholarship

Award: $1,800, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Texas resident and Texas high school graduate, have a minimum grade average of 85, and have completed at least one year of family/consumer science or home economics in high school. Applicant must have been an active member of an affiliated chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for at least two years, and enroll in an accredited Texas college or university. Essay on topic of applicant's choice relating to home economics or FCCLA required.

 

Adams Extract Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have been a member of Texas Association, Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and submit application form, transcript, two letters of recommendation, and 500-word essay on the topic "Creative Use of Adams Extract in Foods." Applicant may receive only one Adams scholarship.

 

Adams Spice Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have been a member of Texas Association, Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and submit application form, two letters of recommendation, transcript, and 500-word essay on the topic "Creative Use of Adams Spice in Foods." Applicant may receive only one Adams scholarship.

 

Texas Farm Bureau Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have been a member of Texas Association, FCCLA and a Texas regional or state FHA/HERO officer and be planning to teach family/consumer sciences in Texas. Applicant must submit application form, transcript, two letters of recommendation, and two copies of an autobiography.

 

Favorite Recipe Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have been a member of Texas Association, FCCLA and submit application form, transcript, two letters of recommendation, and 500-word essay on topic of applicant's choice related to family/consumer science, home economics, or FCCLA.

 

Regional Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have been a member of Texas Association, FCCLA and submit application form, transcript, two letters of recommendation, and 500-word essay on topic of how his or her involvement in FCCLA, family/consumer science, or home economics has prepared him or her for the future.

 

Hope (General) Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Maryland resident, apply as a high school senior, have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA, enroll in an eligible program at a Maryland college or university, and have a combined annual family income of less than $95,000.

 

Department of Consumer and Family Economics Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1 (Priority)

Applicant must be enrolled at the University of Missouri at Columbia.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Edith Lois Wilson 4-H Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from District 1 Texas Associate of Extension Home Economists with at least three years of 4-H club work in District 1 and rank in the upper quarter of their graduating class. Applicant must major in the field of family and consumer science, home economics, or human science at a college or university within the state of Texas. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required while in college and community service and leadership must be demonstrated.

 

George & Marie Buckner Pitcher Charitable Trust

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of Indian Creek High School who will attend Franklin College, or enroll in the study of home economics or teaching of home economics at a college or university in Indiana. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.
