Student Loan Program for Health, Science, & Mathematics

Mary B. Rhodes Medical Scholarship

Applicant must be a medical student who is the child of an international missionary and plans to go into international missions. Applicants majoring in nursing, dentistry, or pharmacy will also be considered.

 

Islamic Development Bank Loan Program

Award: $15,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is under the age of 24 and has confirmed admission into a professional degree program. Applicant must be majoring in one of the following areas of study: agriculture, dentistry, economics, engineering, food technology, forestry/fishery, media, medical technology, medicine, nursing, nutrition, pharmacy, political science, social science, or veterinary medicine. High academic achievement and financial need are required. Recipient must not be in receipt of any other loan.

 

AAPS/AFPE Gateway Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 28

Applicant must be enrolled in the last three years of a B.S. or Pharm.D. program at an accredited college of pharmacy or a baccalaureate degree program in a related field of scientific study at any college and have a demonstrated interest in, and potential for, a career in any of the pharmaceutical sciences.

 

Phi Lambda Sigma/Glaxo/AFPE First-Year Graduate Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be in the final year of a Pharmacy B.S. or Pharm.D. program, be a member of either Rho Chi or Phi Lamdba Sigma, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

 

Rho Chi/Schering-Plough/AFPE First-Year Graduate Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a member of the Rho Chi Honor Society and be a pharmacy student in the final year of professional studies or a professional pharmacy degree program graduate entering a pharmaceutical sciences (including social/administrative sciences) Ph.D. program in an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy as a full-time student. Pharmacy students who have initiated graduate work through a dual Pharm.D./Ph.D. degree pathway are eligible if they will be pursuing full-time graduate study in the year the award is made. Applicants who have completed professional pharmacy degree programs must enroll in a pharmacy college graduate program for the Ph.D. not later than 16 months after completion of the professional degree.

 

Kappa Epsilon/AFPE/Nellie Wakeman Fellowship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must have completed one term of advanced studies in the pharmaceutical sciences, be a member in good financial standing of Kappa Epsilon, and be working toward a pharmacy M.S., a Ph.D., or a Pharm.D. (having previously earned a pharmacy B.S.). Financial need is considered.

 

Professional Student Exchange Program

Applicant must be a resident of participating state and attend an approved program at a WICHE participating program.

 

AFPE

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 28

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, be enrolled in the last three years of a B.S. or Pharm.D. program at a U.S. college of pharmacy, and will be enrolled for at least one full academic year following the award of the scholarship.

 

AFPE Pre-doctoral Fellowship in the Pharmaceutical Sciences

Award: $10,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must have completed at least three semesters of graduate study and have no more than three years remaining to obtain the Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences in a graduate program administered by or affiliated with a U.S. school of pharmacy. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

 

AFPE Clinical Pharmacy Post-Pharm.D. Fellowship in Biomedical Research Sciences

Award: $27,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who has received the Pharm.D. degree within the last 10 years. Applicant must have completed a one-year postdoctoral clinical residency and/or clinical fellowship. Applicant must agree to carry out the fellowship full-time. Applicant must be accepted for postdoctoral training at a recognized academic/research institution.

 

NCPA Foundation Presidential Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a student member of NCPA and be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited U.S. pharmacy school or college who is able to demonstrate an interest in independent pharmacy. Selection is based upon leadership qualities and academic achievement.

 

College of Pharmacy Scholarship

National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Foundation Loan

Applicant must be a full-time student who is a member of NCPA, has a minimum 2.5 GPA, and has an interest in independent retail pharmacy.

Nicholas and Mary Trivillian Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident enrolled full time, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrate good moral character, and demonstrate financial need.

 

Curators Scholar Award

Applicant must be a Missouri resident, be in top 5% of class, and have a minimum ACT composite of 28.

 

Knights of Pythias Scholarship

Hinson-Hazelwood Health Education Loan

Child of Veteran Award

Applicants must be children of veterans who are deceased, disabled, or missing in action, as a result of service in the Armed Forces of the United States during World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam Era, or the Persian Gulf War, or who were classified as prisoners of war during such service.

 

Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarship

Applicant is required to be a resident of New York State and must agree to practice in New York State. Priority is given to the applicant who is economically disadvantaged and who is a member of a minority group that is underrepresented in the chosen profession.

 

Trustee Scholarship

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program
